Ugh. From the White House of terrible ideas comes this one.
If the White House's recommendation is followed, families of hostages taken overseas will be allowed to pay ransom for the return of their loved ones.
Digusting. This is both capitulating to and incentivizing terrorism.

Patrick - that might also be a sign that the Obama administration is admitting that they are really powerless to do anything anyway; so, why not tell the families they are on there own?
