Not a link, but how I handled an unsolicited phone call yesterday:
Rachel from cardholder services called again this morning. I pressed 9 and got connected to “Mark” who sounded suspiciously foreign. He told me how he could lower my card rate. I just needed to get him the expiration date on my card. He patiently waited while I looked for it. After a few minutes, I told him I was at my daughter’s house and had to go home to get it. He agreed to call back in 15 minutes.
I’m in Wal-Mart when “Mark” calls back. Understanding that I got sidetracked on the way home, he agrees to call me back 2 more times.
Finally, back at my daughter’s house he begins to show his frustration when I tell him I am not home yet. He tells me how I could lose this deal and he has spent an hour and a half with me. He needs to get to other customers. He can’t give me a call back number until I am approved. He warns me that they could close my account if I don’t have the expiration number when he calls back…
Apparently there was too much excitement in my voice when I re-iterated “Are you saying you will take my number off your list?” That’s when he hung up on me.
Three footmen to carry the luggage to your $3,000-a-night room and a sports car to be seen in.
Only a peasant would deny themselves this honeymoon. A filthy peasant!

Given the guy is a travel writer and editor for a travel magazine I wonder how much of his trip was paid for by his job, and how much of the difference he's going to try and write off on his taxes as a business expense

National Parks are racist because not many black people visit.
It just makes so much sense.

The social justice worriers claim another scalp. The victim? one of their own.
Moral: toe the company line completely and totally, or be denounced for heresy, and then burned at the stake by the witches.

Luj - ha! No doubt as much as possible.
I just had to take exception to the absolute preciousness of the entire thing.
