Why Is Acceptable To Find Rape Funny When It Happens To Men?
Check out @FilmDrunk's right-on tweet, slapping the NY Post for their cover.
The crime that you're going to prison for is immaterial. We don't sentence people to be sexually assaulted in prison, and it isn't funny when it happens.
And truth be told, I've tossed out these sorts of jokes in the past, but then I put a couple of brain cells on this and realized I was being horrible.
And sure, this is what the Post does, but maybe if more of us change our thinking on this, they'll think twice before "Ha ha ha"-ing men being sexually assaulted -- in prison or elsewhere.

Other kinds of sexual violence against men also are acceptable. Even movies for children - children! - show men being smashed in the crotch or attacked there by an animal for comedic effect.

And yet, from what I keep hearing, it's the male viewers who are more likely to find such movies funny, just as most Stooges fans tend to be male.

Search "nut shot" on youtube. There are similar segments of really dumb TV shows that are shown on the smaller cable channels.
Ah, there it is, it's called "World Dumbest..." and it has a number of wise cracking F list (there is such a thing, right?) celebs like Tanya Harding, Danny Bonaduce and Todd Bridges. IMDB describes it as "A weekly countdown show featuring celebrities offering hilarious commentary on events caught on camera ranging from dumb criminals to wild partiers to dimwitted drivers and more."
I feel dumber for having copied and pasted that.

Ah, let me give you the old joke. A couple watching tv sees a guy get nailed in the crotch.
Woman: gee, that looks like it would hurt.
Man: doubled over in pain.

And additionally, Jared needs to be brought up on state charges in the state(s) where his offenses occurred.
He's getting a sweet heart deal from the feds. I think they forgot that 15 gets you 20. As in years.

Reliable source says he kept asking for younger girls. Unreliable source says he had sex with them as young as 6. So far only 16 year olds are verified, but something tells me that a lot more crap will be uncovered before it's all put to rest.

I R A, I've watched that show. I've always called them "z-list celebrities," but "f-list" works, too.
The only "funny" thing about that show is that it provides work to people like Tonya Harding, Danny Bonaduce, and Todd Bridges. (Shouldn't those three be considered dangerous?)

To their credit, the SJW thought police--at least those I've come across--are quick to call out anyone who even hints that rape is OK when the victim is a man, even a man who himself was convicted of rape or child molestation.

I'm an evil person, I think rape jokes are funny. I actually think jokes about bad things in general are funny. I suppose it is a coping mechanism for me. The more horrible something is, the more I want to hear jokes about it.
I was in a drama class in High School where we played this game called "Freeze", you'd move around till someone yelled, "Freeze", and start a scene based on what poses you were in.
Anyhow, one time I was in a scene with this guy, and he had his hands in front of his face, and so he started pretending to be a French photographer while I hammed it up. Then he says to the audience, "Heh he! She theenks I am a photographer, but reeelly I am a rapeest!" And the scene went on from there. It was hilarious. Because it was so absurd. Our classmates were laughing hysterically, and we had a hard time not doing the same. From that point on, it was an in-joke and every time we did a game together, we did a variation on that scene.
I dunno, maybe I'm just weird. But if you can't laugh at horrible stuff, how can you get through life?

"Gallows humor" – and most humor based on violence – is the property of men. I maintain that a real man expects to trade his life for what he finds dear - and laughter is the sound of fear leaving the body.

There is certainly room in the world for gallows humor. And it is absolutely NOT a domain exclusive to men. As a critical care nurse, and that means I was a small part of a much larger team that worked VERY closely with each other, I can tell you that we wouldn't survive without our sick and twisted senses of humor. This humor can be found in every place where people are suffering or oppressed. This is THE reason that Jewish people (MY people) are the FUNNIEST people. We know from suffering.
BUT: is the joke still funny when it moves beyond the intended audience onto a *magazine cover?* I think not. What is lost in the process is solidarity.
Congrat-u-fucking-lations if the SJWs got one (out of ten thousand) thing right. The (seperate) FACT that they have NO sense of humor is related to their experience as "victims" being entirely socially constructed.
So yes and yes. Gallows humor is important AND rape is no joke. I'm willing to bet that "civilians" do not experience the same humiliation upon seeing that cover as those of us who are (unfortunately) in on the joke.

"And it is absolutely NOT a domain exclusive to men."
Count the female Three Stooges fans. To women, being hit in the face with a pipe is not funny.
And I bet the reason cartoons like Bugs Bunny aren't on any more is the objection of women. Ohh, the horror! My toddler is going to think that dynamite just turns my face black!
