Pomona college senior a week away from graduation visits the Magic Castle in Hollywood to see the 10 pm magic show. The Magic Castle is a nightclub that only admits people 21 and over. It is in Hollywood.
She volunteers to go up on stage and help a magician with his trick.
But Heavens to Betsy, she is simply shocked when the jokes in his act at the Magic Castle a Nightclub in Hollywood for those 21 and over turns moderately risque and the magician makes some moderately risque jokes at her expense.
And worse, much worse, the magician places his hand on her waist.
So she writes this post:
"This is the story of how I was sexually harassed during a magic show."
If you believe her tale, she eventually gets the Magic Castle to censor the magician's act.
> I have spoken to both Michael Finney and our Director of Entertainment, Jack Goldfinger. Let me be the first to say, on behalf of the Academy of Magical Arts, we do apologize for the actions of Mr. Finney and understand that we have now omitted from his act the lines all of us find inappropriate.
...
> We are trying to do something here and build Magic to be the best, and I hope you do not feel the behavior of Mr. Finney dampens your experience here at the AMA.
> I do apologize on behalf of Mr. Finney for his offensive banter, and know we take it very seriously and have corrected the issue.
If you would like to see the magician's act that she was so offended by, you can see it here from 2008: (It even includes the hand on waist sexual harassment.)
In older news, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, John Cleese and many other comedians hate what PC college campus attitudes is doing to comedy.
And though it's at a magic show, I think this in one example.

The coming catastrophic crash of western civilization is going to suck, and it is going to suck hard.
What's not going to suck? the schadenfreude I'm going to relish when the special little snowflakes get enrolled in the HK Prep Academy, AKA The School of Hard Knocks.
I'm going to relish it because there won't be much else to relish. Also, if I get a schadenboner lasting more than four hours, should I see a doctor?

Throughout California, consumers have conserved during this four-year drought and purchased less water from their utilities, leaving some water agencies operating in the red and drawing down reserves. Officials now say they need to pass some of the costs back to customers.
Yeah, I heard about the textbook story this morning. It enraged me then, and still enrages me. Can you say "conflict of interest"?
Meanwhile, a WaPo story on campus free speech at Wesleyan:
"I knew if I remained in my echo chamber of moderate conservatives, I wouldn’t experience any growth,” he said. “I thought, if I’m around people with extremely liberal ideas, I’ll be constantly challenged and countered, and my views will either change or become sharpened.”
In short, he hoped to have the sort of constructive dialogue that college is supposed to nurture. Instead, he found sparring partners who wanted him silenced.
Discouraged, Stascavage began researching how to transfer to Liberty University, which he thought might prove more hospitable. The conservative campus had just welcomed Bernie Sanders, after all.
Again, be prepared to be considered evil if you have badthink. Oh, and here's a pull quote that goes well with jerry's first post:
In a school cafe, a student screamed at Stascavage through tears, declaring that he had “stripped all agency away from her, made her feel like not a human anymore,” Stascavage told me in a phone interview. Over the following days, he said, others muttered “racist” under their breath as he passed by.
For example, some proposed provisions of the draft treaty would require the complete decarbonization of the global economy by 2050 and the transfer of more than $100 billion per year from rich countries to poor countries after 2020. The funds are supposed to compensate poor countries for climate change damages and to pay for their adoption of no-carbon energy sources.[Emphasis mine]

Further proof that "climate change" and "climate justice" are nothing more than white guilt.

Interesting article on Collin Kaeperick, the struggles of the millenial generation, and the value of having some life experience.
That’s why it’s time to take the headphones off and let the real world in. This will be quite difficult for Kaepernick. It’s the struggle of his millennial generation. They don’t think strategically and they cover their ears and eyes to avoid healthy pushback.
We’ll end this post with a quick example. The Black Lives Matter crowd is pushing for body cameras on police as a solution for police brutality. They have no idea that the inevitable result will be constant surveillance of poor communities, the places that have a heavy police presence. This would be the final piece in turning inner-city neighborhoods into police states and occupied territories. We’re surrendering the freedom of the poor to avenge the death of Michael Brown, a misguided teen who black attorney general Eric Holder proved significantly contributed to his own death.

Take the headphones off and join the real world.

Significantly? if by significantly you mean "tried to take the cop's gun", then yeah. I wonder, had he actually succeeded in that, what precisely was he going to do with said gun? demonstrate proper firearm safety? or simply go all Jet Li on his ass?
and the transfer of more than $100 billion per year from rich countries to poor countries after 2020
