Well, Amy, if Hillary loses you just might get hit over the head with a frying pan - many on the left are very sore losers.
Come to think of it; they can be rather sore winners too.
So, just be prepared to duck!

I will take no joy in a Trump win, if it happens, other than a sigh of relief for the Supreme Court and the rule of law.
It is probably the only justice we will see for a dispicable influence pedaling criminal if she loses.
My Schadenfreude is in overdrive.

Iowahawk calls that a "Schadenboner."
Well, we all wanted less power for the executive branch, and I think we're likely to get it.
But this President has never been more popular, and his party is getting creamed.

There are just too many ironies and weirdnesses to track. E.g., Hillary didn't do that well with a lot of women. And apparently a lot of urban blacks stayed home.
Thirty hours ago, I thought the Trumpista's joke about helping voters get to the polls —"Our ground game is in our HEARTS"— was a bitter concession.
Glad I've been touting that Caldwell video for all these months though... That explains as much of this as anything.

Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

I'm with Isab on this. I have no love for Trump. He's a narcissist and has never met a conspiracy theory he doesn't love.
However, I decided that the protection of the nation comes first. Hillary would have opened the borders and turned this nation into the kind of hell that Angela Merkel inflicted on Europe.
Not particularly worried for myself; I'm not exactly rapeable material. However, the women and children (Good Lord! How old-fashioned is that?) in our nation are another matter.
Not really anxious to rival Sweden as the rape capital of the West just so we can show everyone how open-minded and tolerant we are.
And Trump's decisive victory, I think, will also serve as a massive "Fuck you!" to the Social Justice Warriors.
Gender is binary, and there are only two. You are one or the other, and you will accept the pronouns assigned to your gender.
Fuck Black Lives Matter and their contrived grievances and demands. They will learn to live in this country with no more privilege or entitlements than anyone else.
To hell with social justice and their safe spaces, delicate feelings and cultural appropriation bullshit.

This is hard to believe: Patrick just said eight things in a row that I essentially agree with, but he used too much garlic.
Hillary never seemed to grasp that she'd have been president of the 'deplorables,' and of course Trump is just as oblivious to his responsibilities to his counterparts.
Forgive them or not, it remains the case that Clintonites and SJW's never grappled with the nearly unbounded criminality of this Arkansas family... Their ears and minds were closed to the ever-expanding constellation of Clinton transgressions.
In other words, in the election between Clinton and Trump, one of them won.
We knew it was going to be unsatisfying.

(I wasn't really concerned about rape but about the further exclusion of lower-income American-born citizens to the few remaining unskilled jobs.)

(And no one ever did me any harm with gender pronouns.)

But, still I want to whistle "Happy Days are here again"!
Because this means no Hillary! 8 long nightmare years of Obamanation are finally over! And Bill won't be stalking interns in the West wing. yea!
Now, will Trump use the government as Obama did to go after his political opponents? Will we see Billary and their demon offspring go to prison?
Bill and Hillary can just dry up and blow away. And Obama is now history (which will NOT judge him well).
Oh, and Paul Ryan and other Republicans who not only didn't support Trump; but, bashed him, are looking pretty stupid right now.

Interesting, Crid. It's rare you and I agree on anything. I think the last time this happened is when Amy's friend, Kyle Richmond, appointed himself keeper of Merv Griffin's legacy and decided for himself that Merv Griffin needed to be "outed," despite the fact that he had decided not to out himself.
As for Black Lives Matter and their contrived grievances, I will stand by what I said.
They would have you believe that cops kill blacks out of proportion to the rate they kill whites, for instance. However, research by former Baltimore cop and assistant professor in Criminal Justice at John Jay University, Peter Moskos, shows that cops are actually more likely to shoot a white suspect than a black one.

Patrick
at November 9, 2016 2:12 AM
The grievances felt by the BLM crowd are real. The reason for them and the parties whom they choose to blame for them are contrived and based on a lie.
Michael Brown was a thug, not a martyr. He was shot while attacking a police officer for the second time. Trayvon Martin attacked George Zimmerman and was beating his head against the concrete when he was shot in self defense.
As Patrick points out, police officers are more likely to shoot a white suspect than a black one. The police are not systematically hunting or oppressing black people.
Young black men are more likely to engage in risky illegal behavior. They are more likely to dissociate themselves from societal norms of behavior and law abidance. There's your root cause for high levels of black incarceration and violence. Fix the problem of large numbers of young black men feeling alienated from society and you fix the problem of them being arrested in large numbers.

To return to the main focus of this web site, Maybe the question to ask yourself is why you took this so personally and had such an emotional investment in Donald Trump losing?
Did you feel the same about Romney when he lost? If not, why not?
To what extent does thinking an outcome is a *sure thing* contribute to your devastation when an event doesn't come to pass?
In my experience men are a good deal more philosophical about this stuff.
Other then the shrieking metrosexual cry babies, men generally just dust themselves off, forget about it, and say "We'll get em next time".
Or a semi-conscious penguin. (A Twitter suggestion by somebody who may have had six too many.)
