Ask for an itemized bill, then strike the services that were not provided. If the hospital insists that the be paid the full bill, take it to the prosecutor's office and demand an investigation and prosecution.

I'm going through a mess right now where an ambulance took my mom (who was having a TIA episode and was badly confused) to a hospital that has a bad reputation. The hospital billed for a bunch of tests. When her regular physician requested the test results, the hospital claimed that they "lost" the records for some of them. It is quite evident that the hospital billed for tests (expensive ones) that they did not perform.

he demand for use of preferred pronouns is not an issue of equality, inclusion or respect for others. It’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It’s a purposeful assault on the structure of language. It’s a dangerous incursion into the domain of free speech. It’s narcissistic self-centeredness. It’s part and parcel of the PC madness that threatens to engulf our culture.
The 10 member jury concluded that the Rolling Stone reporter, Sabrina Rubin Erdely, was responsible for defamation, with actual malice, in the case brought by Nicole Eramo, a U-Va. administrator who oversaw sexual violence cases at the time of the article’s publication. The jury also found the magazine and its publisher responsible for defaming Eramo.
