So I got into an debate on youtube about the wage gap, the woman was quite calm and reasonable and asked for a direct link, as opposed to what most of them do calling you a sexist for daring to disagree with feminist dogma.

Funny thing though, I was arguing that while feminists were correct that women only earn 80% of what men do, they never mentioned the fact that women only work 75% of the HOURS men do.

Turns out I was wrong. The BLS has released new numbers for the 2015 year. And here was my response to this reasonable woman

These are actually the most recent numbers, they hadnt even come out the last time I checked for an update

Men full time hours 40.8 per week @ 60,878 people equaling

2,435,120 hours

Women full time hours 35.9 per week @ 44,982 people equaling

1,614,854 hours

Combined this is 4,049,974 "full time" work hours

So women work roughly 40% of all full time hours, men work 60%

Now using math

2,435,120 * X = 1,614,854

Solve for X to get the percentage Which is roughly 66.3%

So using theses new figures, assuming a pay gap of 80%, 75%, and 70%

Well
80/67 = 1.19
75/67 = 1.12
70/67 = 1.04

So as you can see even though women earn 30% to 20% "less" than men the fact is they WORK far fewer HOURS

Meaning for the same HOURS WORKED women earn between 4 and 20 cents MORE per hour than men do.

Really I must thank you for insisting I dig up these numbers for you, its shows that the pay gap is widening.
