A couple of days ago I read the NFL is finally admitting that maybe, perhaps, sort-of, the national anthem protests might have something to do with declining attendance and viewership.
Now comes word the League is going to back away from pinktober:
Since when do we allow any male to put his arm around any child, even if his wife is there, even if the kids' mom is there, even if he has a belly that shakes when he laughs like a bowl full of jelly?
Since never. Think of the children. A stranger touched them for several seconds. They may never recover.
Sorry, St. Nick, but the only behavior males should exhibit around children is stony-faced oblivion while running in the opposite direction.
Serna walked toward the officers, who had taken cover. The officers allegedly told him to remove both his hands from his jacket and to stop walking toward them.
“As Mr. Serna got within 15 to 20 feet … Officer Selman fired seven rounds at Mr. Serna, striking him,” Martin said at the conference.
“Nothing that I’ve been told up to this point and nothing in the investigation up to this point indicates a lunging or threatening [of officers] or anything of that nature,” Martin said.
We now have our average porn stars: Nikki and David. They’re of normal height, but both weigh less than the national average. Nikki has smaller breasts than you might expect and she’s a brunette. She got into the business aged 22 and is originally from California—or at least, that’s where she now lives. David got into the industry aged 24.
On the California man shot, I have a hard time feeling sorry for grieving family members who 24 hours ago couldn't be bothered to do a thing about their relatives failing mental condition
As for the boyfriend of that woman who claimed he saw a gun being waved about in the faces of multipule people, he should be charged with manslaughter
Teach people not to make false claims which result in shootings
And these people want to run our government? It's not hacking if you give it to them by ignoring practices because they are too much trouble. ~ Bob in Texas at December 14, 2016 5:02 PM
Not so much ignoring, since Podesta did ask his IT guy if it was okay. The IT guy was apparently illiterate or failed to edit his e-mail, telling Podesta is was a "legitimate" e-mail.
That Podesta didn't know enough to go to google.com to change his password instead of following a link in a random e-mail is also worrying.
This is the same tech ignorance displayed by Hillary with her inability to learn anything but her Blackberry and inability to use a PC to check e-mails (which is why she forwarded so many of them to her maid to print).
And her competitor in the election was burning up the Twitter-verse with his technological savvy. If you want to run an increasingly technological world, you'd best learn to tweet, to check e-mail, and how to use at least one social media platform (Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.).

More on the DNC hacks from the Wall Street Journal. The article requires a log-in so I'll summarize.
Turns out that an FBI agent called the DNC repeatedly and left multiple voicemails to let them know they'd been hacked, but "DNC staffers never called back for seven months because they ... weren’t sure he was a real agent." So, call the local FBI office and check up on him.
At the very least, you beef up your security when you suspect a hacker is targeting you.
The Clinton campaign is now faulting the FBI for not showing up in person to warn them of the security leaks. Meanwhile, at least two separate and unrelated hacking rings are known to have penetrated what little security the DNC had.

"... it was in fact a series of cybersecurity blunders that led to the DNC being hacked – including FBI warnings being completely ignored."
And these people want to run our government? It's not hacking if you give it to them by ignoring practices because they are too much trouble.
