Like Human Fleas
When my United flight from San Antonio came in to LAX on Sunday morning, there were a bunch of paparazzi at the baggage claim, hanging out with huge cameras on their hips, looking toward a doorway at the back corner of the baggage carousel.
Gregg asked -- they were there for Khloe Kardashian.
We were more interested in watching them. First two shots are Gregg's; last one is mine.
The chase (their Khloe quarry is just beyond the blond guy -- black boots, cropped pants):

Friggin' sickos! Worse than TSA!

The Kardashians (and most celebrities) call them to be pap'd.
The whole we hate the paparazzi is a bunch of b.s. For example it's rumored Kris Jenner runs part of TMZ.
You ever see pics of truly insanely private celebrities? Nah.

That's what I told Gregg -- that they either call themselves or somebody at the airline tips off the paps, or both.

They do indeed. It's a symbiotic relationship.
The tipoff money to third parties, from what I understand, goes to hospital and jail employees.

You got out of San Antonio just in time; a gunfight broke out at a nearby mall between two jewelry store robbers and several citizens. One citizen is dead, one suspect is fighting for his life in a hospital. The other suspect was captured after injuring multiple other citizens in the mall, apparently while covering his escape with gunfire.

"Gregg asked -- they were there for Khloe Kardashian."
And they got Amy Alkon. It's said that the upstaged Ms Kardashian is steaming with jealousy!

Ppen has it right; it's a symbiotic relationship. The celebrity gets publicity, and the mags and Web sites get "juicy" stuff to publish. If celebs really want to not be photographed, there are plenty of ways to do that.

"Kardashian is steaming"
Many piles are.

This is like the John Waters film, Pecker: turning the camera on the ones who like to point the lens at others! Nice! 😄
