The Ugliness Of Making Right-Left Hay Out Of Any Possible Subject
My tweet.
Car-crash heartlessness--making right-left hay out of a woman's losing her husband (who happened to be a Dem Obama staffer) bc she's conserv https://t.co/L45uM65XYD

Woman's compassionless sneering -- with Popehat's comment below:

An exchange about the tweet string:
My religion has me thanking G-d for giving me strength to fight Conservative BS. No need for you to inflict Christianity on me. @mkhammer

And finally, a bit from the story the woman was tweeting about -- Mary Katherine Ham's moving piece at The Federalist about how she and her two young girls are managing in the wake of the death of her husband:
I shook my head and strained to turn my mind back to a flat, gray wall. The wall of the room I had shared with my husband, Jake, until weeks earlier. The room he dressed in one Saturday morning and grabbed a backpack full of spare inner tubes and power gels he never used. The room he left for a bike ride he never came back from.It was our sad, gray room where I stood, newly widowed, the mother of a toddler, eight months pregnant. The room that was-- by God--going to have a striped corner for our brand-new baby.
They say not to take on anything major within 6 months of a traumatic event. I used to chuckle when I heard this. "Well, I'm going to push a baby out of me and raise 'em by myself, but sure, I won't get bangs or anything, I guess."

This is "who" they are at heart.
Their parents never taught them about compassion or even politeness or if they tried it did not take.
Instead they learned that they can "bully" people using special words to make them feel "special".
Sad but like the neighborhood dogs barking at your car as you drive down the street, they are not relevant to your life, do not affect your task, and basically make no difference in life at all.

I know there are wonderful people who are democrats-I have family and friends who are. But overall, the left seems to have a level of hate not seen in conservatives....or anyone outside of ISIS.

More fodder for the fire. Tho I am reminded that when you go to make an omelette, you need to break eggs...these juveniles seem to think the egg being broken will never be themselves.

That is the joy of victim ideology. If you are eternally oppressed then anything you do is only moving the scales a little bit back to even. No matter how vile the act it is ok because you are the victim.

One of the rules I try to follow is don't be an a**hole. I don't always live up the to the rule but in general I try (sometimes I'll go a little too far when making joke and cleverness has way to turn to a**hole real quick). This "person" is just an a**hole. Its one thing to have a thought like that but to put it on twitter and then double down on a**hole when called out on it really takes it to another level. Sadly this seems like the end game of twitter and other social media. The brave new future we were promised is just a bunch of a**holes sharing their thoughts to the whole wold in real time. Kind of a let down.

When you accept that your position is an opinion, backed by facts as it may be, you accept that your opponent's position is also an opinion. And you debate.
When you hold that your position is the absolute righteous truth, anyone arguing with you can only be lying. And when they refuse to adopt your righteous position, they can only be evil and must be torn down; no quarter.
The Right, having a religion, accepts politics as sport. The Left, having forsaken religion in favor of secular policy, uses politics as its religion and goes at it with a fervor more often seen in zealots than in politicians.
The Stylites have nothing on these folks for stubborn zealotry, except that the Stylites didn't try to kill anyone who wouldn't join them on the pole.

My Sister (54) visited last weekend. Absolutely HATES Trump due to his "pussy" stuff and kinda liked Hillary and pro-choice.
I stopped having "discussions" because she has been is such a bubble that most of her "arguments" started with "I don't believe that.". (Ex. 53% of white women voters voted for Trump.)
It was not worth talking to her due to her lack of "knowledge" about her own views. She spouted all of the "points" but did not know where they came from, what part were true/lies, and so on.
It was easier to shut up. You can't even disagree when there is nothing there.

It is simply inane to criticize someone because they are not the first to suffer some loss or pain. Of course, human history is full of loss and pain. Most of us these days get off rather lightly, but still our friends will die and our parents will die and sometimes a spouse or child. This is our common humanity. Where does the sneering come from? Can't admit you have something in common with a deplorable?

Her final comment is just icing on the cake that a heterogenous state can't exist without a strong, central government forcing people who don't like each other to live together. I presume by her use of the dash
(and, really, her politics and her hatred of Mrs. Ham's Christianity) that she's a Jew who considers herself to be doing Tikkun olam with all her bile and hate. That will repair the world, indeed.

I said it before and I will say it again;
Twitter is the ultimate expression of the soundbite society. It is all but impossible to say anything meaningful in 140 characters but it is perfect for virtue signaling.
This 'Person' is not trying to be heartless about the tragedy effecting the life of another, she is using that event to show how much better she is than the rest of us. She sees a lesson for society in the fact that this person is attempting to make her personal tragedy a source of hope and strength for others.
SJW's are not trying to be callous, it is simply that their empathy is reserved for the service of their philosophy and not generally indulged in otherwise. They can feel a great deal of emotion for those they feel are oppressed or outside the societal mainstream but their views are so warped around their ideology that they are incapable of feeling or expressing any good feelings about those who do not fit into their ideological framework as being deserving of such caring and empathetic response. Like gravity, social justice is so pervasive in their world they cannot even understand how it effects their perceptions.

I like the part where they get thrown off airplanes for behavior that has zero consequences in the twittersphere.
Because it's funny and it makes me laugh.
