If you taught at a community college, are you really a "professor?"
Diablo Valley College is a community college in Pleasant Hill, California, in the East Bay.
I used to live a few miles away from DVC. It was not known then as a hotbed of political activism, unlike its 4-year cousin to the north.

Sorry, wrong thread.

I beg to differ. Your books and columns seem very well-researched.
So yes, indeed, you ARE thorough. Don't sell yourself short!

Thank you!
And Gog, I just meant that I am not exactly immersed in nature, save for the urban kind.

forget the squirrel; I'm looking at the flower-power of bright red! It looks gorgeous!
We've had a bit of a downer of a Spring here in the Northeast US. Very damp and cold. Flowers and flowering bushes haven't been doing all that well. And before we know it, it will soon be summer with summer heat. Sadly, it hasn't been much of a Spring this year for us.

Your polite deflection of my terrible pun - well done.
Besides, you're better than Thoreau. You're not living a mile from your Mom's house and calling it an adventure in solitude.
