Gutierrez also worries that algebra and geometry perpetuate privilege, fretting that “curricula emphasizing terms like Pythagorean theorem and pi perpetuate a perception that mathematics was largely developed by Greeks and other Europeans."
Math also helps actively perpetuate white privilege too, since the way our economy places a premium on math skills gives math a form of “unearned privilege” for math professors, who are disproportionately white.
This kind of activist journalism corrodes public trust. The same kind of corrosion occurs when stories are wholly based on anonymous sources — which is all the time, for a year now. Quite often readers and listeners rightly assume that journalists are merely doing the bidding of these people.
A raft of long-forgotten histrionic post-election pieces that drove coverage on the network turned out to be false. Sometimes CNN gets caught. And sometimes they take responsibility and retract an entire story linking an ally of Trump to a Russian bank. Other times, they are caught and pretend to take responsibility.

That might be the stupidest thing ever said.
Arabs, Indians, Asians, Persians, and others have contributed significantly to mathematics. In fact, the word, "algebra" is Arabic (from "al-jabr" meaning "reunion of broken parts")
Unearned privilege? If you achieve a doctorate level of skill in mathematics, you've "earned" whatever privilege a professorship in mathematics conveys.
Mathematics, according to Galileo is the language of the universe. God, Woody Allen concedes, works in mysterious ways, but he uses a base 10 counting system and likes round numbers.

The new system reflects a cunning paradigm shift. As we've noted, instead of trying to enforce stability or conformity with a big stick and a good dose of top-down fear, the government is attempting to make obedience feel like gaming. It is a method of social control dressed up in some points-reward system. It's gamified obedience.
On the bright side, in the Western World, Social Justice Warriors hate video games with the fury of a thousand suns, so it's unlikely that this will happen here any time soon.

"Roy Moore Says Gay Marriage Ruling Is ‘Even Worse’ Than 1857 Pro-Slavery Decision"
...In June 2015, Moore said enforcing the Supreme Court’s gay-marriage ruling was the equivalent of following immoral laws in Germany during World War II.
“Could I do this if I were in Nuremberg ― say that I was following the orders of the highest authority to kill Jews?” Moore told an AL.com reporter. “Could I say I was ordered to do so?”
When a reporter reminded Moore than the Nuremberg trials were about killing humans, not gay marriage, Moore responded: “Is there a difference?”
One would think that this would make headlines and people in the media would be writing hit pieces gloating about Disqus doing this.

Math doesnt have an ethnicity. Instead of assigning credit for achiememts to various cultures, Lets get back to recognizing individual achievement.
The heart of the problem is bean counting by "perceived" race. A catagory that doesnt even exist in reality.

No doubt.
But when you're trying to argue that use of terms like "the Pythagorean Theorem" and "pi" do not connote white privilege and do not exclude non-white races, it helps to speak in the language of identity politics, or something close.
Not that you'll ever win that argument; 'cause the narrative has already been decided and nothing, not even facts, can overrule the narrative.
"The heart of the problem is bean counting by "perceived" race."
Which is humorously ironic since counting is, of course, math. So the next time that someone complains that some grouping of people doesn't have a high enough percentage of people of identity group X, point out to them that the concept of percentage is inherently racist, and so their argument is invalid.
