Something was bothering me from the beginning about the timing of Donna Brazile's book. This guy nails it:
"Sorry but this is joke of a book. Did Miss Brazile ever consider calling Mrs. Clinton instead and resigning from the party? In other words, she knew in the summer of 2016 that she was part of a total fraud."
"Miss Brazile stayed silent because she was inspecting [sic] Mrs. Clinton to win. She made a pact with the devil and expected a future President Hillary Clinton to give her one of those fancy jobs with a big office, chauffeur and access to military planes."
"She stayed quiet because she bet that Mrs. Clinton would win and did not want to close the doors of The White House to a possible job. It's like those who donated to The Clinton Foundation reserving their seat at the White House dinner table."
As the Democratic Party struggles to rid itself of the Clinton family vampire it invited in the door, I wonder how many others will justify their silence. Like the self-pitying "I didn't know about Harvey" claimants, they were shocked, shocked to find gambling in this establishment, all the while collecting their own winnings.

The personalities are uniformly opportunist and loathsome, but these internecine squabbles suggest that the humbling which might be the Trump Administration's karmic raison d'etre is perhaps seeping in... As you noted some months ago, he's mostly just a shitty president, but one who's not yet set the world ablaze. His lunacies are not much worse (if no better) than those of their own constituent goofs, just as his corruptions mirror those of the Clintons... in perfidy if not in competence.
So those who've been in the game awhile know there's another election coming up, and they're going to want to attract some new voters, especially the EC kind. This time.
And so they might be considering ways to appeal to the disaffected Trumpsters rather than just mocking them.
It's by no means certain, but at least possible.
Kamala is Hillary with more youthful inertia.

This is the once and future "part Native American" woman who was an ardent Hillary supporter in the election and who is said to harbor her own ambitions to the presidency.
Now that Hillary is no longer the key to winning support (financial and political) in the Democratic Party, she's being discarded faster than syphilitic boyfriend.
The sands are shifting in the DNC and it looks like the hard-left Sanders wing is all the rage these days. Watch the scramble as the former corporate lefties try to fit themselves with a new grassroots leftie persona and assure folks they were "always hip, man."
Word of warning, don't count Hillary out yet. She still has allies in the media and an ongoing book tour. Her public insistence that the election was stolen and her majority in the vote total gives her an appeal to disaffected lefties who enjoy wallowing in self-pitying "if only" scenarios - like a two-year-old who imagines his parents ruing the day they spanked him.
She's setting up the revolution with her shrill and insistent soundbites about Russian collusion and Trumpian corruption. And, though she does not yet realize that she doesn't have the charisma to lead the revolution, she will nonetheless be instrumental in creating the societal disaffection required to foster it.
Sanders is ancient, and Warren is one year younger than Hillary. Kam's the future... she can spend other people's money as fast as any of them.

Kamala's the candidate of the future, no doubt. But the philosophy driving that candidacy will be more Sanders than Clinton.
Hillary's grievances will fuel the anger, but not the philosophy.
It will be interesting to watch Kamala run for higher office. In case you missed it:
Judge Alex Kozinski asked Vienna if his boss, Atty. Gen. Kamala D. Harris, wanted to defend a conviction "obtained by lying prosecutors." If Harris did not back off the case, Kozinski warned, the court would "name names" in a ruling that would not be "very pretty."
Of course she did. She could have instructed her underlings to make the case go away the fastest way possible, but no, they went to defend such criminal behaviour.

Fucking hilarious.
At Reed College, a small liberal-arts school in Portland, Oregon, a 39-year-old Saturday Night Live skit recently caused an uproar over cultural appropriation. In the classic Steve Martin skit, he performs a goofy song, “King Tut,” meant to satirize a Tutankhamun exhibit touring the U.S. and to criticize the commercialization of Egyptian culture. ...
But many students found the video so egregious that they opposed its very presence in class. “That’s like somebody … making a song just littered with the n-word everywhere,” a member of Reedies Against Racism (RAR) told the student newspaper when asked about Martin’s performance. She told me more: The Egyptian garb of the backup dancers and singers—many of whom are African American—“is racist as well. The gold face of the saxophone dancer leaving its tomb is an exhibition of blackface.”

No, no, please DO attend. Sometimes we need a reason to thin the herd of applicants. This will do nicely.
