Keith Ellison won the race for Minnesota Attorney General. I guess that means violence against women is now condoned in the state of Minnesota. The Vikings will be so relieved - as will any visiting NFL teams.
As long as Democrats continue to endorse and celebrate people like Bill Clinton and Keith Ellison, they have zero credibility in insisting we "believe" all women.
With this vote, the Democrats' insistence we "believe all women" has been exposed as the blatant political ploy that it always was.

Look at the pictures of the candidates. Guess which one is the Democrat and which one is the Republican. Read the article to find out the answer.
Trump is on TV right now spinning the split decision in the election as a "tremendous success" for the Republicans. Um, Donald, it was pretty much a wash.
And the loss of the House was not a referendum on him because he didn't campaign for House candidates like he did for Senate candidates. It's not his fault. "I ran out of gas! I got a flat tire! I didn’t have change for cab fare! I lost my tux at the cleaners! I locked my keys in the car! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! For Trump:
* holding Senate allows him to appoint judges
* Democrat majority in the House won't accomplish anything
* any stasis can be blamed on Democrat obstruction
* better to have the House in the hands of the Democrats than in the hands of Never Trumpers
* most (all?) Republicans who lost were Never Trumpers
So not ideal, but not bad either.

Trump asking Sessions to resign bothers me. I never bought into that "Trump=Hitler" nonsense. However, this move seems to indicate that Trump is unaware of (or has not accepted) the idea that the Justice Department is not the enforcer for presidential whims, that an Attorney General should retain some operational independence.
Sessions was not my favorite AG, but he brought some much-needed honesty and ethics to the office after Holder and Lynch soiled it.

Honestly he seems like a one trick person. Drugs, drugs, and more drugs are all he worries about. Everything else he doesn't appear to care about. Still, my biggest worry is how long it will take to get his replacement past the senate. Sessions may be acting AG for quite some time.
