Bernie likens the ultra-rich to drug addicts.

If these folks spent half the time and effort trying to become comfortable in their own skin they would be much better off. Because no matter how much you take off or add to your body, you still have to be comfortable in own skin.

Surely this would cause an uptick in terrorism aimed at China/Chinese interests? perhaps an oil embargo is a reasonable response?

Deer Bernie Sandersnista,
How many houses is too many? asking for a "friend".

"Why do we think cats are unfriendly?
"Cats are the only asocial animal we have successfully domesticated. We’re disappointed that we don’t bond with them as easily as dogs. But are we just missing the signs?"

One good follow-up to this article would be for the reader to head for the library and borrow the late Jean Craighead George's book "How to Talk to Your Cat." (She wrote a parallel one about dogs. She's probably best known for "My Side of the Mountain" and "Julie of the Wolves.")

Katie Hill's farewell speech.
Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers at October 31, 2019 12:09 PM
Oh, boo-hoo-hoo. Poor Katie Hill! The helpless victim of a double standard! "Waaah! This wouldn't have happened to a man!"
Anthony Weiner: "Excuse me???"
On another note, Jack Dorsey has decided to ban all political ads on Twitter.
I blame Hillary-lite, aka Kirsten Gillibrand. She spammed Twitter with more political ads during her presidential bid (not that it did her any good) than all other candidates combined.
Patrick at October 31, 2019 4:09 PM
What "double standard?" There were pictures. Pictures were enough to get Al Franken run out of town; and everybody in the Franken pictures was dressed, even the stripper.
In answer to your questions, three houses for those striving so hard for their working class brothers and sister is barely enough: One house good, three houses better. A good party apparatchik needs a dacha on the Black Sea in which to relax away from the deplorables.
In a recent tweet, Bernie Sanders called himself "working class." Hmm. I guess you can be a politically-connected millionaire who graduated from an elite university, own three houses, and still be working class. You can, if you have the proper political affiliation, stand on the front porch of any one of your three houses and loudly proclaim yourself to be fighting for your working class brethren and, despite being in management almost all of your working life, wrap yourself in the cloak of labor activism and unionism.
To quote 1984, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

Suddenly Patrick makes it clear that Bernie and Raddy are essentially the same guy. They don't really care about policy or economics or making things better for the most troubled.
But they're both *obsessed* with rich people. They think about rich people all the time, and concoct goofy little daydreams about what to do with their money.
As Raddy likes to say, 'rich people aren't like you and me.' He not only believes that to be true, he believes it to be an original observation on his part.
Crid at October 31, 2019 7:15 PM
From the article supplied by Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers: "Hill said she had been told that there were “hundreds” more photos and text messages that would have been leaked out."
Hundreds? D'you s'pose she ever has sex that isn't photographed?
I feel a new coinage coming on... she's a photosexual, someone who can't fuck unless a working camera is present.
Patrick at October 31, 2019 9:03 PM
Conan:
He identifies as working class, Conan! Don't you know anything? You just have to declare yourself something and it's becomes your truth!
Did you just assume Bernie's identity? In the words of Greta Thunberg, "How dare you?" Obviously, we have to find out where you work now, and harass your boss with phone calls demanding you get fired and hound you for the rest of your life so you never find work in anything more lucrative than a McDonald's burger flipper.
Except that McDonald's will probably go fully automated, now that the workers are demanding 15 dollars an hour. So, it's living on the street for you, Conan. Just punishment for pointing out the logical inconsistency of a person of Bernie's background calling himself "working class"?
(Can you tell I just drank my pre-workout beverage and I'm wired as fuck now?)
Patrick at November 1, 2019 3:14 AM
"photosexual"
Oh no! Another gender!
Cousin Dave at November 1, 2019 7:03 AM
Hundreds of photos isn’t that many assuming it isn’t one photo per person/night. To me the real questions are, since it seems she and hubby were in this lifestyle. Who else was in some pictures, lobbyists? Other politicians? Deep state people? The speed she resigned suggests there may be someone else big / shady being protected.
Joe j at November 1, 2019 9:00 AM
Well, I see your tendency to make things up has not abated.
Write a book, where people can see that it is fiction.
Radwaste at November 1, 2019 11:49 AM
I disagree with that.
Let's first ask how many photos per session she's taking.
Assume she averages about three. That's still 33 photographed sessions per 100. Now, remember she said "hundreds."
How many hundreds? That could be up to 1,999, because if it were more than that, she'd be saying "thousands." It might be somewhat misleading to say thousands if we're talking about 2,000 photos. But for dramatic effect, she might do that.
Let's give a conservative estimate and say they're talking about 500 photographs. That's still 165 sex sessions that she's got photographic evidence of.
I swear, I don't understand these people. Why would anyone want photographs of themselves naked? And if you're dating someone and they ask for nude photos, just what, pray tell, do you think they're going to do with them?
I mean, apart from the possibility of revenge should you break up with them or blackmail?
Patrick at November 1, 2019 2:24 PM
Do you have to be photogenic to be a photosexual?
Conan the Grammarian at November 1, 2019 2:47 PM
Conan:
Well, she isn't. At least not in the nude photos I've seen of her. So, I would say no. Just a desire to be photographed during sexual acts.
Patrick at November 1, 2019 10:47 PM
I thank you for taking that hit Patrick so the rest of us don't have too.
