It's Thursday so the new unemployment numbers are out. 6.6 million initial unemployment claims for last week. That takes us to about 15 million for the past three weeks. And given that last week's claims and the week before's claims are about the same people are starting to wonder if states can only process 6-7 million claims per week. Maybe we will find out next Thursday.

Our betters, in one picture. "If you do social distancing wrong, there will be a $1,000 fine. But we're looking pleased with ourselves for exempting ourselves from that fine."

I volunteer to try it every 15 minutes. The worse that would happen is that I pass out. Or get used to day drinking.

As I explained on another comment section, I live in the most populous zip code in Wyoming, on a two acre lot. I last saw my nearest neighbor two years ago, at the central mail box.
We have been practicing social distancing in Wyoming since the last ice age.

Either Andrew Malcolm needs an editor or he's incapable of the most basic fact-finding.

Wyoming has 239 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with another 81 "probable" cases, according to the Wyoming Department of Health.

A new argument has emerged that the Titanic may have been sunk by a fire burning for 3 weeks in the coal bins before the fateful voyage.

I'll call BS on this until they can show me where the combustion gases went, notably, a ton of carbon monoxide.
Black marks mentioned routinely show up on ship hulls from the bumpers attached to tugboats.

February 24, San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi visited Chinatown because she's not a coward and a racist.
' ... "[C]ome to Chinatown. Here we are, again, careful, safe, and come join us.”
Ironically, as Pelosi walked through the district, the lights were out at most of the businesses and restaurants. Pacific Gas & Electric was suffering a power outage to nearly 1,700 customers in the district.'
Thanks to CBS News for keeping that up on their web page. Classic.

"Our betters, in one picture."
It's fake - a false caption over a picture that's probably from long before the COVID-19 crisis. That looks like Michigan governor Whitmer at the center. Although there are many things I despise her for, she has not imposed fines for ignoring social distancing.
