I like my eyewear like I like my politics— Bitterly polarized.
Easier to see that way.

Ahoy, radio children of 1969!
It's 2019. (Well, it was when my brother sent this link.)
QUESTION:
What do you get in 2019 when you combine—
Spooky by Classics IV
with
Grazing in the Grass by Friends of Distinction?
Crid at May 7, 2020 12:33 AM
ANSWER:
You get The Walk by Mayer Hawthorne!
PS— Years later some of the Classic guys re-collected each other to do another version of Spooky, and it included this guitar riff, five notes over four beats so that's twenty of something. It's like rubbing your belly in a circle while patting your crown with a tap.

Appointing Dodd to find a female running mate has to be one of the stupidest things the Biden campaign has done.
Biden, despite his public "wokeness," is a product of the old school Senate boy's club, where women were playthings for powerful men, alcohol flowed like a river, and bribes were a Senator's due.
Lyndon Johnson used to keep an upstairs room for senators to use for sexual trysts with women staff members.
As late as 2008, the Senate pool was reserved for men - as some Senators liked to swim naked (like Biden does).
Brock Adams, senator from Washington, was accused of sexual misconduct by no fewer than eight women. The party stood by him, but he chose to resign in the wake of declining voter support.
Ted Kennedy regularly propositioned teenaged girls, left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown, and created the now-famous "waitress sandwich" with his good buddy, then-Senator Chris Dodd.
Dodd, not stranger to sexual hijinks himself, was good friends with Harvey Weinstein and was appointed chairman of the MPAA after he left the Senate surrounded by multiple ethics clouds.
All of these folks were in Biden's orbit when was a senator (1973-2009).

Unfortunately, we're probably going to need another decade before all the old school prejudices are out of the government - a generation of people who came of age when Jews, blacks, Asians, etc. were "them" and "others."
I guess we can take some comfort in the fact that those old school prejudices are today being cloaked, for the most part, by people who've realized that society has changed.
Of course, after that we'll have to deal with a few new school prejudices, just as ugly and destructive. Society has changed, but human nature never does.

3.2 million new unemployment filings last week. That takes us to 33.5 million over the last 7 weeks, or 26% of the US workforce. Food banks being swamped, yada yada, you guys know the drill.

Looks like Biden is on the #BelieveAlmostAllWomen bandwagon.

"George W. Bush made a moving, eloquent plea for empathy and national unity, which enraged Donald Trump enough that he felt the need to go on the attack."
Note: this was despite the fact that Bush never mentioned Trump in the video.
