Listen... I know this is a dark time for everyone... But if you ever start to feel overwhelmed, and you just need someone to listen to you... Well, I'm here for you, man. Just relax, and spool it out.
This (Sunday) is the morning when we all want to wake up early, even before first light (in California), to watch the Monaco Grand Prix on TV. Y'know… Have a cup of coffee, maybe even a glass of Chianti, load up Twitter on the laptop, and just *soak* in it, like for no other race. And four hours later, the Indy 500… As if for dessert!
Well, not this year. First time it's been cancelled since the war! (I have no idea whether or not that last part's true.)
But I'm here to help!
Charles LeClerc, the twenty-two year old Ferrari Formula One driver, has been spending his lockdown playing internet racing video games with his friends around world... Including fellow F1 drivers Lando Norris and Roman Grosjean. These 'races' are streamed live on Twitch.
If you're into F1, it's fascinating to see these young guys, usually living their lives in one of the most intense sporting and media contexts of human creation, playing loosely with other geeky kids.
Yesterday, they did Monaco: Lights out at 33:00.
And here's another exciting showdown: Bowlingbal vs Waterballon

I like how he is using the sidewalk. I spotted a coyote on my street and he was also using the sidewalk. Evolution at work!

If you had China invading portions of India on your 2020 "Bad things, man" bingo card you may be a winner.

• Sexplanet: Roll over for me, Baby....
• Unnacceptable censorship.
I think Fauci is a goddam hero of generational proportions. I think Mikovits is a loathsome, oblivious attention-bot who will casually consign distant people to horrific, lingering death merely to feel her moment in the sun. She, and her movie, are absolute garbage, and both should burn in Hell.
But I won't let anyone tell me which information I will or will not be permitted to have and to share. So I'm downloading copies of 'Plandemic' from the usual resources, and will be posting one to a Google Drive account in a few minutes. Let's do this.

Hello, Microsoft Windows 10 people!
• Did you guys know about this?
Never, ever, copy & paste your mistress's contact information. Just don't.
• I've been using this (and similar solutions) for the past twenty years. They're more complicated but more flexible in important ways.
Clipboard management makes Windows tolerable. If Linux could provide that functionality, I'd switch tomorrow.

There are wild turkeys in my area. Once, I saw one with chicks. I only hope that THOSE have the sense to stay out of busy roads - others I've seen do not and twice I had to chase them into large enclosed yards, out of harm's way.
But a few weeks ago, I did see one using the sidewalk - in an empty neighborhood!
And a couple of years ago, the newspaper ran an article on a local turkey that had been occupying a pedestrian-crowded square, with a rumor that it had actually learned to use the crosswalk when people were using it, so it hadn't gotten hurt.

Leclerc, described above, is doing Monaco right now... And bullshitting with his friends in three languages while simulating one of the most demanding circuits on the globe.

After the first twenty seconds, the whole tune is spent, in terms of melody and changes, etc. We all know that Todd should have spent the 90's writing ballads for Disney musicals and cartoons. He is THAT GOOD.
But those first four seconds are maybe the last time I was astonished by the rhythms of a piece of pop music. That was thirty years ago....

Thanks for the ClipJump tip. I'll look into it further, but I'm pretty sure it'll end up in my standard Windows rollouts in the future.
For linux, in the XFCE4 environment is

Serious grateful for this.
Do you have a favorite distro?
And one for dangerously inexperienced newbies? (Know just enough to wreak havoc.)
