"Woke" Hair Bullying
DISGUSTING they came after her in this way. It's a way to have unearned (and frankly very ugly) power over others.

Her hairstyle isn't "harmful"--nor is mine "harmful" when I make it look like the gorgeous bone straight hair many Asian women have. (Actual hair more Golda Meir). https://t.co/JWm4ajmnCO
For the record, Golda Meir, living pre-hair product, had very unfortunate hair.

It's a way to have unearned (and frankly very ugly) power over others.
They only have the power she handed over to them.
On the other hand, "my hairstyle is harmful" is the funniest thing I've read all day. Brava.

Cowardice.
It's a shame that everyone is folding to Bullies' Lives Matter. Even Fox News, which was considered until recently a conservative bastion, is cringing like a soylennial.
Although that isn't too surprising. Rupert Murdoch is only conservative if the price is right.

Harmful? Hairstyles are harmful?
Is your hairstyle going out at night and burning buildings down? Is your hairstyle shaking down local businesses? Is it doing hit jobs for the mafia or challenging punks to a street race while you're asleep?
The only thing to which a hairstyle can be harmful is your own image. People, white or black, in dreadlocks do not convey the image of a competent professional person - unless they're Bob Marley; and, even then, it's pretty industry-specific. S. Epatha Merkeson, who played the hard-nosed lieutenant for years on Law and Order wore a wig to cover her own dreadlocks because she said a woman rising up in the ranks of the NYPD was unlikely to sport dreadlocks.

Ah, yes, we've done this before, sorta.
A couple of times.
Reasoning Deficit Disorder shows itself again: the viewer is offended by someone imitating them without mockery.

Women and men have been trying to tame their hair for at least 10k years. No one alive in that time lived “pre hair care products”.

As Patrick has pointed from time to time, the Vikings wore dreads. Who'd the appropriate that from? or did they figure it out on their own?
Weeks at sea, a couple of months of looting, pillaging and burning and taking captives is tough work. Then you have to take all that home. Who has time to mess with their hair? especially if you can make into a pad that you can stuff up under your helmet to make the portion of you gear easier to wear??

Rupert Murdoch is only conservative if the price is right.
My understanding is that his sons have achieved positions of power and influence within the media giant. And they're not conservatives.

This is all about defining tribal boundaries. In Indian villages in the Amazon, each tribe has food they do and do not eat, and look upon the tribe next door as disgusting for what they eat. Boundaries.

one of the strangest aspects of contemporary life is that by simply declaring that they are 'the good people', the most malicious and depraved elements of our society have granted themselves the right to abuse and degrade everyone else.
