A neighbor asked a question about security in NextDoor and a comment came out "Maybe the police could make more frequent drive bus of your house and street...."
Now, I'm sure the commenter tried to type "drive bys" but the auto-correct wouldn't let her unless she fought it - as I had to in order to type it here.
I'm beginning to understand the proliferation of mis-used apostrophes in our written communication. Auto-correct is destroying our language, when it's supposed to be protecting it.
Auto-correct had no problem with "drive by's."

Gcmortal, are they finally allowed to use standard forestry practices? You can spend a whole lot of money doing very useless things. Money hasn't been the issue.

Unless shown otherwise, I'll assume that CA and Federal are working their forests with the same methods. CA is practiced in spending money doing useless things, but where's your specific example that's relevant to the subject? As far as money, it's good that the Feds are ramping up... in five years. In 2020, the stable genius isn't concerned about states that won't vote for him.

Best I can tell the Fed and Cali are doing the same thing . . . in California. Other parts of the nation we actually take care of our forests and don't have massive fires. But years of laws and lawsuits make responsible forestry illegal in California. It doesn't matter how much you spend. The forests will still burn.
As for the stable genius not caring much about California, I won't say you are wrong. And I don't really care much either way. Did you think Obama cared about Texans? He certainly tried to put my industry (oil) out of business. You can go back further if you want. Normal is just normal.

Hello, Fellow Olds!
Some of these were, and are even in retrospect, worth listening to!

Well then for the Love of God— keep moving!!!

The tweet about Citroën vans a few tweets down from that one was truly scary. They look like something out of dystopian sci-fi.

"keep moving!!!"
Reminds me of the old joke about U2's Bono clapping his hands slowly on stage at a concert in Scotland. "Every time I clap, a child dies."
From the audience came the reply: "Well, stop f--kin' doin' it then!"
