Ruining It For The Qualified
Let's be honest here: The more this sort of thing continues, the more excellent, highly qualified doctors who are from the "diversity" target populations will have their ability questioned.

Eh, we know things have been documented like black women aren't listened to as much when they say they are in pain, it's worth looking into.

I'm more worried about the ones from target populations, or any other populations, whose abilities aren't questioned… or tested with appropriate rigor. If a minority is offered a gentler appraisal, everyone will ask for it.
Nicolek, not doubting you for a moment. But do you have a cite?
For about seven reasons, Asians are the next great & righteous achievers in United States civil rights progress… And they'll benefit from higher standards, not lower ones.

And finally we get to the whole point of socialized medicine. When you don’t have a choice of who you see, the incompetent of all sexes and races can be mixed in with the competent and presented to the public like a bundled tranche of shady loans.

Why do we refuse to learn from systems that have already practiced these things?
Soviet medicine was a fifty-year horror story.
What happens when the hospital cannot improve outcomes (i.e., meet quotas) for targeted groups? Do hospitals then shove those target-group patients our the door before they die?
Do doctors and hospitals withhold treatment for non-targeted groups to even the outcomes?
The elites won't have to worry. Their medical care will be top notch. It was in the Soviet Union, too.
Ordinary citizens ("workers and peasants") had to pay a bribe to get medical attention, anesthesia, etc.
Socialized Western medicine is not immune to the inadequacies and sloppiness of collectivism.
So, yes, let's rush headlong into bureaucrat-controlled socialized medicine with quotas and targets.

There are for sure some differences in medical outcomes between races. Some of this is lifestyle and compliance with medical directives. Blacks have a high rate of obesity, do not go get tested for diabetes and do not comply with doctor orders as well. Doctors can't fix this by ending their "racism"--it is cultural. Hell docs can't even recommend someone lose weight anymore without it being "fat shaming".
Meanwhile in England docs are ordered to comply with a patient's claimed gender and give pap tests to biological men who claim to be women (hint, no cervix) and not offer it to biological women who claim to be men (hint--a cervix exists).

Crid, I've heard that before. Here's a cite - from the Association of American Medical Colleges, in January:
https://www.aamc.org/news-insights/how-we-fail-black-patients-pain
Excerpt:
..."Black people’s nerve endings are less sensitive than white people’s.” “Black people’s skin is thicker than white people’s.” “Black people’s blood coagulates more quickly than white people’s.”
These disturbing beliefs are not long-forgotten 19th-century relics. They are notions harbored by far too many medical students and residents as recently as 2016. In fact, half of trainees surveyed held one or more such false beliefs, according to a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academies of Science. I find it shocking that 40% of first- and second-year medical students endorsed the belief that “black people’s skin is thicker than white people’s.”
What’s more, false ideas about black peoples’ experience of pain can lead to worrisome treatment disparities. In the 2016 study, for example, trainees who believed that black people are not as sensitive to pain as white people were less likely to treat black people’s pain appropriately...

And, from July:
"Racial disparities seen in how doctors treat pain, even among children"

Excerpt:
...In a national study that included almost a million emergency room visits, black children in severe pain from acute appendicitis had just one-fifth the odds of receiving opioid painkillers compared with white children, even after adjusting for other factors.
The disparity may reflect that doctors were less likely to trust their black patients, particularly because the study also showed no difference in the prescription of non-opioid painkillers by race. Another study confirmed that racial disparities in opioid prescription are greater in conditions with fewer objective findings, such as migraine or back pain, which depend on a patient’s own assessment, as opposed to say a bone fracture, which shows up on an X-ray...

I found those and more by searching on "black patients not believed." Without the quotation marks.

I am too lazy too do much work for an internet discussion, here's what Ecosia turned up when I looked for black women pain ignured (yeah there was a typo in my search). I got an article and followed links to the study.

That is seriously all fucked up. I remember they used to have that attitude about babies for any number of procedures.

The purpose of the civil rights movement was *always* to exacerbate and exploit racial differences, not to free or empower anyone, and not to improve society.
It followed the pattern of other "social activism" promoted by the left - a kernel of hard-core Marxists hid their motives with a front of "liberals" and well-intentioned people, as some crabs camouflage themselves with bits of coral.
With little real racism in modern American life, it's increasingly obvious that the intent is to perpetuate schism and distrust.
- racism hoaxes
- reversal of successful integration with the nonsensical reintroduction of segregation on college campuses and elsewhere
- assertion of race and racism as immutable, insurmountable differences
- moving from equal opportunity to demands for equal outcomes, even jf artificially acheived. As in this case.
The goal is to create new suspicions and resentments where none existed.
