I will crawl over broken glass through a flaming snake- and cockroach-infested mine field to sign a petition to recall LA disaster DA Gascon.

It still seems unbelievable that Jackie Lacey was the better choice than somebody (Gascon in this case), but there you have it. https://t.co/yT4Y4rb0ys

Biden & Co. just dropped this floater in the punch bowl today:
Washington (CNN)
... Jen Psaki on Sunday defended the Biden administration's decision to not directly sanction Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the brutal death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, saying there are "more effective ways" ... to make sure this doesn't happen again ... That is what diplomacy looks like,"

Real Estate, Cornhusker-style!
It's obviously not a genuine home, but just a hospitality suite for God-knows-what corporation. Yet it's enough to make you feel ashamed for enjoying rock 'n roll.
By implication, it affirms that if you're a businessman visiting the firm for a partnership pitch or an engineer invited for a manufacturing consultation or whatever, you might as well stay in at night and do your your drinkin' right there, because you won't find any greater excitement out on the streets of Omaha.
I mean, what could be LOUDER than that interior?
There's a rock 'n roll bar like that in Terminal Five of LAX.
It gave me Covid in December 2019.

Goggles— There's a Douthat column/tweet series today that suggests that Trump's aromas overpowered the whole of American politics so distractingly that Democrats could get away with all kinds of crazy shit… And now that he's off the top of the page, people — LEFTY people — are realizing the things have been spinning out of control while the were busy posturing.
Except for the wealth destruction, the thrashing of young spirits, the extinction of older ones, and the dissolution of precious global alliances going back decades if not centuries, this is actually kind of pleasant.

Consider what AI did for this photograph of a woman.
There's one for Honest Abe out there this weekend, too.

The best internet dog video of 2021 to date. Gorgeous animal, looks perfectly comfortable in that coat, and the audio is jaw-dropping.

A smartass tweet/anecdote, and irresistibly concise.

Gog, consider: It's easy to imagine that in Trump
s time, this story might not have even had a chance to blossom.
