Ah yes, it's time for that favorite political regret game, "What might have been."

Tulsi only got one delegate in the primaries (compared to none for Kamala); so Tulsi's popularity party-wide was limited. What's more, she was not the choice of the big money donors from California. Hawaii does not represent big money or influence in Democrat political circles these days; California does.

On top of that, Tulsi wasn't intersectional enough. The leftist base of the Democratic Party was howling for an intersectional candidate. Biden tried to placate them with a promise that he would select a minority woman for the ticket. Even though she's of Pacific Islander heritage, the base wanted black or Hispanic, preferably Lesbian as well, so selecting Tulsi would not have placated the mob.

Kamala got on the ticket because she was was favored by the California clique, brought in Silicon Valley money and Hollywood money, was intersectional, and was left-wing enough to placate the howling left-wing base of the Party upset with the nomination of the allegedly moderate Biden.

Personally, I liked Tulsi as a presidential candidate. Although her support for single-payer healthcare might have become a deal-breaker if left unmoderated as the campaign wore on.

Tulsi's executive experience was limited, and that would have been a negative for me if the other candidates had had any more or better experience running something other than their mouths. Alas, the Dems have gone so far to the left that Lenin himself would not be left-wing enough to satisfy the party's fanatical base.

Such things do exist. But that really doesn't appear to be the case with covid. Instead the issue is the current vaccines are targeted at covid-19, not covid-21. Vaccine makers just haven't kept up with the normal rate of mutation like they do with flu. Hence 'leaky' and 'breakout' when you are really applying the wrong solution and don't want to admit it.
