"All Humans Are Out Of Their Fucking Minds..."
"...Every single one of them." The New Yorker profiles 90-year-old Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy founder and fellow profanity afficionado Albert Ellis. My personal favorite Ellis-ism: When somebody says "fuck you," he responds, "No, unfuck you; fucking's a good thing!"

"All Humans Are Out Of Their Fucking Minds...Every single one of them." -- Dr. Albert Ellis.

He has a point. In an insane world, no sane person has a chance of survival.

I think this is why "neurosis" is no longer included in the DSM. That's the book where shrinks get labels for our symptoms. However, I think that Ellis uses the OFM (Out of Fucking Mind).

I always laugh when I hear a group of my male friends talking about women "they're all insane, crazy, bizarre... and women talk about men "they're nuts, strange, weird...
of course they're both right. It's not a gender problem it's a species wide problem. i don't know Ellis' views as to why, mine are the confluence of our biology and evolution which bred us to not be optimally happy, but edgy, what we call "neurotic" (actually just the normal state of human beings) depressed and anxious(adaptive states)combine this with the swirling dustclouds of illusions we all invent for ourselves to shield us from the reality of our living and what you've got in this witches brew is, well...
best summed up by Charlton Heston hanging in the net in "Planet of the Apes." "It's a MADHOUSE, A MADHOUSE..."
