According to LAObserved she's a "legendary" fashion writer. Sure-- for a former copy editor, I guess she's legendary. Boy, is she a dud.

What's sad is that she has that job, not Elizabeth Snead, who writes those hilarious "what the stars are wearing" profiles on E!...or any number of talented writers who really live and breathe (and know) fashion, and can make something clever and interesting of it. There's really no excuse (as Dan Neil proved by winning the Pulitzer for auto writing for the LAT), for any topic to be dull and uninteresting. It's all in the mind (or mindlessness) in the person writing it.

Kate, just to clarify...L.A. Observed never called Moore a legendary fashion writer. But Page Six of the NY Post did.
