Clearly Moe and Crid are not Republican strategists. It matters because if Bush is perceived as weak or vulnerable, it has a spill-over effect to all sorts of political issues, from bills and budgets Bush wants to propose, to court appointments, to who might get elected or ousted on his coattails.

Actually, I turned 38 last week. Having my age exceed Bush's approval rating is a nice birthday present.
Compare Bushs ratings to other presidential lowpoints. Clinton, Bush sr., Reagan, Carter etc. 'bout the same.
