Actually, it's great news -- they've replaced her with one of my friends, Elliot Hester, the flight attendant-turned-travel-writer who wrote the hilarious book "Plane Insanity." Finally, somebody worth reading. Spano was such a major embarrassment. Typical to the LATimes, they give her a multi-year run. If I were in charge there, her ass would have been grass after a blog item or two. What an old cow.
Here's Spano's last entry (below). She tells people to be kind to Elliott. Actually, we shouldn't have to be kind to anybody writing for media. They should do their jobs, then we'll read them without ripping them.
Have you noticed that La Spano has abandoned the postcards blog-disaster?
She departs with one final linguistic blunder....
