Gee, Thanks!
Wow..that made my day. Thanks so much to the anonymous person or people who left me all these $50 payments on Amazon; I guess, in appreciation of the work I do on my blog...and another one for $4.50. It's all appreciated. It was a great surprise. I had no idea, and I opened the e-mail from Amazon and thought it was a mistake! Total of 504.50 in Amazon dollars since January 12, 2007, with a slew of $50 payments on the 31st of March, plus the $4.50 one, too. I'm floored!
In other nicenesses happening to me recently, I hadn't had time to wash my car for pretty much all of March. I'm just getting the little things back in gear...clothes to the dry cleaner, etc., and washing the car and Lucy were on the list. Well, I came out of the house on Wednesday and somebody had washed my car! Wow.
Thank you! All!
wowie-zowie! that's cool.
I take paypal...

And by the way, we just broke ground for your new house in Bel Air. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

I'd be quite happy with a prefab in Venice, with enough room for my books and a room for Gregg!

Did we just enter the twilight zone? Where do I sign up?

That's so nice for you, Amy, although I can't help but wonder what would happen if someone were to come out of their home and discover someone washing their car. Their first response would be to call the police, I bet. "How dare you use those filthy rags on my car! I only use brushless car washes to keep the finish from being scratched!"

We park on the street here, and I have a hose that comes out of my gate, so I will hose down my neighbor's car if it's parked within reach (they don't have hose access). But, my car was parked down the block. It was so dirty that I don't think there was great concern as to my prissiness about what kind of rags are used!

It would be easier if you would raise your limit at Amazon. Or is $50 their imposed maximum?
Don at April 8, 2007 7:18 AM
Don, if that's you - thank you so much. I gave my assistant a bonus of $50 on Friday, which she very much deserves, thanks to the donation, and I'm putting the rest into my IRA (in hopes that I won't be living what I call "The Purina Lifestyle" at 80).
And Amazon only lets people do $50 at a time. Nannyism, sigh, at every turn in our society.
