Amy Loves Beaver
I'm in the lobby of the Portland ad agency Wieden + Kennedy, enroute to the Friday night party on their roof for the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies' annual convention.
They had some conference room at the place!
I'm on my way back to Los Angeles now, where I'm a finalist for six awards from the LA Press Club, and where there will be a tribute to Cathy Seipp tonight. Here are the categories:

What are you going to wear?
If you win, don't mention anything in your acceptance speech about loving beaver, okay?
Lena at June 16, 2007 1:42 PM
It would be rather original, don't you think?
And I think I'm going to wear a long black Dolce & Gabbana dress with my little Ralph Kemp (my favorite young Paris designer) sparkly sweater with the frothy neck. I'm actually wearing the Ralph Kemp sweater here, but it's hard to see.
But this may change! Jewelry is also an issue.

Ever eat at Old Wives' Tales on Burnside? They do a great tofu scramble for the morning after.
Crid at June 16, 2007 4:10 PM
Congratulations on your wins Amy.

What news, Amy?

Crid- Thought you might be interested in this. Smile! (Apologies to all for an off-topic post.)

Crid -- There is no such thing as a "great tofu scramble" on Amy's blog. While we're on the topic of food, though, I must mention Third on Fourth in Santa Monica (I think the street number is 1435). I was there last night, and had a grilled apple salad with caramelized walnuts, crispy prosciuto(sp?), and buffalo mozzarella. Total fag California cuisine. Loved it.

Ooh, that Third on Fourth sounds great. 1432 Fourth Street A, Santa Monica. Next to Harvelle's?
And no, no tofu for me.
Did well last night. Will post something soon. Waking up!

Interesting choice of photos. You have beaver on your page in both senses of the term.
