My brother had one of these in 1973! My dad threatened to chain it around his neck; he carried that damn thing everywhere with him.

I take it that you are against the "sharing" of "music?" You've got my vote.

I respect copyrights, and I buy my music instead of stealing it, same as I expect people to pay for my column instead of publishing it without paying me.
I also don't buy designer knockoffs (like those handbags they sell downtown in LA and on NYC's Canal Street), another form of stealing. Can't afford Prada? Boohoo. Think it's overpriced? Too bad. If you think it's wrong to buy a hot TV out of somebody's trunk, don't turn around and buy from people profiting from stealing the designs of others.

Damm, I guess my 2400 records are a little out of date.

Anyone wanna guess the epoch of the specimen? I'm guessing late Blondie/early Romantics.
The waxed cup is a nice touch.

Late Grand Funk Railroad or early Ramones. I loke the cigarette butt to the left. Smoked down to the filter, baby!

I can still hear the 8-track click over in the middle of the Beatles "8 days a week"...

So was the owner of that specimen in the street breaking or tagging the side of a building when you took this?

Well.. at least you can't accuse the owner of being trendy... At least he drinking dunkin donuts coffee and not Starbucks Lattes. I am assuming it's actually coffe inthe cup and not Thunderbird (I guess that would be the appropriate liquor of choice for the owner of that machinery.)
