Islam's Public Enemy Number One
"I do not want to live low, nor do I want to be killed," says Father Zakaria Botros, Islamic apostate, and, according to Al Qaeda, one of the most "wanted infidels" in the world:
The death cult known as Islam knows what to do with guys like the affable Father Botros: murder him for leaving the faith, of course!
Don't believe me? Here it is right here. Yes, they're discussing why it's good and right to murder apostates right there on the Internet like they're instructing people in how to roast a chicken:
If a Muslim apostatizes and meets the conditions of apostasy - i.e., he is of sound mind, an adult and does that of his own free will - then his blood may be shed with impunity. He is to be executed by the Muslim ruler or by his deputy - such as the qaadi or judge, and he is not to not be washed (after death, in preparation for burial), the funeral prayer is not to be offered for him and he is not to be buried with the Muslims. The evidence that the apostate is to be executed is the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "Whoever changes his religion, execute him." (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2794). What is meant by religion here is Islam (i.e., whoever changes from Islam to another religion).
... And the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has commanded us to execute the apostate as in the hadeeth quoted above: "Whoever changes his religion, execute him."
It may need some time for you to be convinced about this matter, and for you to think about it. Perhaps you think that if a person follows the truth and enters into it and embraces the one true religion which Allaah has enjoined, then we allow him to leave it quite easily whenever he wants and to utter the words of kufr (disbelief) that put him outside of Islam, so he can reject Allaah, His Messenger, His Books and His religion, and there is no punishment as deterrent, how will that affect him and others who enter the religion?
Do you not see that this would make the one true religion, that everyone should follow, like a shop or store which a person can enter when he wants and leave when he wants, and it may encourage others to forsake the truth.
Ah, yes, If you can't beat 'em, beat 'em to death -- or better yet, just lop off their heads. Or, if you're up for some sport, maybe do what they did to this 13-year-old rape victim.
Now, those of you who know Muslims, a little survey/test: ask them if they know about this directive to murder apostates and what they think of it. And if they think it's horrible, backward, evil, etc., ask them whether they speak out against it. And, if not, why not?
Wishing Father Botros long life -- although I can't say I'm optimistic for the guy.

It's time to use the RICO statutes against Islam. This is a criminal conspiracy.

Been there, done that. Muslims (at least the ones I've asked) either defend what's in the Qur'an, or dodge the issue by citing examples of outrageous things Christians used to do 1000 years ago.
Charles at November 10, 2008 10:51 AM
Not to defend Islam, which is a five letter word for "death cult", but Christianity doesn't exactly provide a shining counter-example:
"Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.--2 Chr.15:13"
"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Exodus 22:18
"He who sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed." Exodus 22:20
"Do not allow others to worship a different god. Conquer them and destroy their religious property." Exodus 23:24
"# If your brother, son, daughter, wife, or friend tries to get you to worship another god, "thou shalt surely kill him, thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death." Deuteronomy 13:6-10
I could go on, but you get the idea.
Religion poisons everything.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Father Botros.
What about you, Amy? Have you received any serious death threats from the Religion of Peace?
Martin at November 10, 2008 1:20 PM
the real problem is that progress with energy independence will cease. this means that we once again be pay energy money to nations that fund our adversaries.
kudzu fire at November 10, 2008 1:27 PM
I was curious to know if anyone has gone to the site (the one amy linked to) and asked why, as a "religion of peace", does Islam teach so much intolerance and violence? Or just plain call them out on some of their craziness. I wonder if they would even respond. I would do it, but im too chicken!

Lujip:
And how many christains do you see killing apostates and blasphemers skipper?
None, which makes a point I asserted on the previouse Religion of Peace thread:
The only good Muslim is a bad Muslim.
It works the same way for Christians: the only good one, is a bad one. Unlike Muslims, virtually no Christians take these passages as being "operative." Ya know, they are rather more metaphorical like.
The upshot is, that since the Reformation, all good Christians are bad Christians, putting the nasty bits on disregard.
Time for Islam to follow suit.
Hey Skipper at November 10, 2008 5:19 PM
Hey skipper, it's not that Jews take the passages as metaphorical and ignore them, rather it's that 2,000 years ago the Rabbis denounced the death penalty as too extreme and that the punishments described were from a different primitive past. In other words, Judaism advanced so today, no Jew has to be a bad Jew to be civilized.
Islam never had the moderating influence of learned scholars because the Quran cannot be questioned, modified, improved upon or questioned. Most infidels do not understand that the Holy Book of Islam is in fact a military Code of Behavior that is not subject to civilian review.
Islam cannot follow suit - anyone who attempts to change the Quran will a find nasty object in his living room: the severed head of a man who, formerly knowing the absolute truth as handed down by Mohammed ( peace be upon him), tried to change the perfect Word of God.

This is the problem with Islam. When people are "moderate Muslims," they're actually lapsed or bad Muslims according to the Quran. Unfortunately, few "infidels" understand this, and even if you explain it to them and back it up, they generally don't want to believe it.

Skipper - Christians don't take Deuteronomy to be operative. Part of that whole "New Testament" thing. The ones that do aren't Christians. I don't know what they are, but they aren't followers of Christ.
Old Testament: Kill everyone.
New Testament: "Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone."
Big difference.
brian at November 11, 2008 10:00 AM
... rather it's that 2,000 years ago the Rabbis denounced the death penalty as too extreme and that the punishments described were from a different primitive past.
The Old Testament is rife with bad things that happened to the Jews when they didn't listen to God. Yet, despite that, the rabbis took it upon themselves to put God's explicit direction on disregard.
In other words, they became bad Jews.
Christians don't take Deuteronomy to be operative. Part of that whole "New Testament" thing.
Really?
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17
Matthew 10:34 - 37
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
----
Now, I will readily grant that among religious texts, the New Testament is much less awful than all the rest. Plus, it is sufficiently metaphorical and contradictory to provide any number of escape clauses.
However, it still remains that the only good Christian is a bad Christian.
We have the Reformation, an 11 letter word for abbatoir, to thank for clearly demonstrating the difference.
Hey Skipper at November 11, 2008 2:17 PM
That was not a goal, it was a prediction. See, Christ was telling people that to follow him would make them "bad jews" (apostates, really) and that was going to upset that particular apple cart. It was also going to hack off the Romans who had a good scam going.
Think of it this way. You're a good Jew. Your son tells you he's gonna go follow this Christ dude. You are going to be displeased, to say the least. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father.
I know more about your faith than you do. And the Reformation had nothing to do with Christianity, and everything to do with Catholicism. One is a faith, the other is a religion. There's a difference.
