Remove The Oxy
And you've got an ordinary moron (with a cult following), spewing the popular multi-culti view that we're "terrorists," too. Deepak Chopra speaks:
Chopra: Because it's an oxymoron. It's an oxymoron, Larry, a war on war, a war on terrorism. You know, terrorists call mechanized death from 35,000 feet above sea level with a press of a button also terror. We don't call it that, because our soldiers are wearing uniforms. They don't see what is happening, and innocent people are being killed. So, you know, terror is a term that you apply to the other.
King: Thanks, Deepak Chopra, as always, extraordinarily enlightening.
Yeah, I always forget what the idiot the guy is until I see or hear him the next time.

Was this his response to what's going on in Mumbai?
He disgusts me...and I don't even have the words for Larry King....

The left continues to blur the meaning of words, in this case "terror".
Terrorism is an aggressive form of cultural cancer which spreads destruction and misery wherever it appears.
Precision bombing from high altitude as we do today is a surgical removal of the cancerous cells.
One seeks to spread evil, the other seeks to stop it.

All I can say is wow and one can only hope that people such as this won't breed.

"The left continues to blur the meaning of words, in this case "terror"."
I guess your stupidity leads us to say the right continues to blur the meaning of words, "enhanced interrogation" used to be the specific acts of torture that we put others on war crimes trials for.
There are nuts on the left and the right Kirk, you ain't helping by blurring the difference between groups and individuals. (Sorry your guy lost, get over it.)
I don't think we're terrorists. On the other hand, our performance at Abu-Ghraib, Gitmo and in the White House certainly helped terrorist assholes blur the distinction between them and us.

The situation in Mumbai is troubling and despicable. Yet less than 48 hours later I've read & heard plenty of people searching for answers to explain why the culprits are misunderstood or haven't had their grievances properly addressed.
I tend to believe that there's a yet undiagnosed gene that causes some to have excessive levels of guilt. Such inflicted people believe that most every bad event is either their fault or that of the society they live in or their government. It doesn't matter how horrendous the crime committed against the innocent, such guilt-ridden folks still find a way [in their own minds] to waive most guilt from the perpetrators and attach it onto either the innocent or third parties. This happened with 9/11 and is once again happening with the Mumbai Massacre.
While such misguided folks might originally come from varied races, countries, and religions (or lack of religions), they always seem to fill up the pews only in the Church of the Radical Left.
Let me leave an open-ended challenge to Jerry and any others to provide examples of where such guilt-ridden souls belong to another House of Worship. I've never seen them anywhere else but in that one place.

Oh please, this isn't even the worse of this moron's excesses. This dumb son of a bitch is an evolution denialist too. And an altie to boot.
Chopra is indicative of everything I find loathesome about huffpo. I swear, actually going over there and reading anything will actually lower one's IQ - at the least, put it at risk.
And this comes from someone who is, on most issues, a bit to the left of center.
DuWayne at November 27, 2008 8:01 PM
By all means Chopra, if just singing or sighing excessively got them to stop killing us I'm pretty sure people would all be on board. It's not like we think it's a great idea to start firing hard bits into other humans, it's that it’s the most effective way to stop someone running at you. Now, to have prevented that person from running at you in the first place would be the better solution, and for that person to have never wanted to run at you and kill in the first place you would be the best, but when worst comes to worst you can't just sit and take it.

It's hard to not cite the oblivious; Chopra is a bloody idiot.
This remembers me a video by Yaron Brook, Chairman of the Ayn Rand Institute. He made the interesting point that you can't have a war against terror. The reason? Because terror is a tactic, not an enemy.
The day we will chose to go against the REAL ENEMIES behind the atrocity of Mumbai (Islamofaschists and their State-Sponsors), this mess will go on.

"and this comes from someone who is, on most issues, a bit left of center". Refreshing to finally read the understated truth, since you liked to claim yourself as being right of center right up through the election.
I don't give a rats ass what was done at Gitmo. But I guarantee you it was no more torture than a husband telling his wife she's fat is abuse. And we have to do something to get the info, it's not like they email us their itinerary. Or, do americans deserve to die because we're all so guilty, while would-be murderers get their 3 squares and a cot?
Can we stick Chopra in Mumbai? Gaza? Iran? Somewhere he can demonstrate his ability to understand others?

You know, terrorists call mechanized death from 35,000 feet above sea level with a press of a button also terror.
And if they could do that to New York City, they'd call it a legitimate weapon of their struggle.
...because our soldiers are wearing uniforms.
They don't just wear uniforms. They're also subject to a few international rules of warfare ... which include not intentionally targeting civilians. US soldiers and marines who indiscriminately kill civilians are subject to legal action.
Terrorists, on the other hand, kill civilians faster than Long Island Wal-Mart stampeders and are made into heroes for doing so.
No, Deepak, there's no equivalency there.
