The High Price Of Seduction
In Paris, it's gonna cost ya. The tag on the cake from Dalloyau reads "Seduction." 52 euros, serves eight. I'm sure it's fantastic, but for that price, you'd think it'd be dispensed by a girl in high heels and flashing neon pasties.

Oh wow that looks good though! I'm a sucker for berries, cheese and cream, which it looks like. Are the bakeries really expensive over there or is this just a very high end one?

You can get croissants and cake at the supermarket much cheaper. Because we're staying very near one of the best patisseries in Paris, Gerard Mulot, Gregg gets our morning croissants there. Amazing. And each is 1 euro and five cents. Other things there are pricier. P.S. They have fantastic thin-crust pizza there.

"...you'd think it'd be dispensed by a girl in high heels and flashing neon patries"
Patries? Freudian slip, anyone? Did you mean pastries? Or panties? Or pasties?
Does look yummy though! By the way, you had me at thin-crust pizza. For some reason, I haven't found a single decent pizza, thin or thick crust, in the state where I live. Oddly enough, one of the best pizzas I've had lately was at a hotel restaurant in Cebu.

YUM!! That looks awesome! *drooling on self over here* O.O

old rpm daddy, I'm guessing "patrie" is French slang for a patriotic symbol, kinda like the flag pins some American politicians are careful to wear.
Axman at December 9, 2008 7:39 AM
Mulling my suggestion, I realize that the French Tricolor doesn't do much for me. But a girl wearing high heels and three strategically-placed flashing neon fleurs de lis, now that would be seductive!
Axman at December 9, 2008 7:54 AM
Axman, according to Wiktionary (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/patrie), "patrie" means "homeland, country of origin." So you're probably a lot closer to the truth than I am, and I'm starting to look a little like a pervert.
Should have looked it up in the first place...
old rpm daddy at December 9, 2008 8:27 AM
I read that as pasties too.

Freudian schlong...uh, schlip. Meant "pasties," the American word for the little tassled titty covers. Now corrected. But, I do now wonder whether they come in an edible variety.

They do. Don't ask me how I know, just...they do.

Uh, not that I'd want to derail the direction this conversation is taking, but... I thought Amy would appreciate this:
