People are against Israel b/c they think the jews are the the ones causing the problem. That, if the jews stop what they are doing, everything will be ponies and rainbows. Israel is but a stepping stone to the downfall of the West and the age of reason.

Ya we Christians are crazy Jews! Actually it depends on which breed of Christian you are. I grew up Mormon and I grow up respecting Judaism. No real antisemitism I experienced. My father who is gungho ho Mormon wears a Star of David at times. Other Christians support the Jews because if we are to get to to Armagedon and then on to the 1000 years of down time with Jesus we need to have Israel around and that can not happen if those crazy wacked out Muslims are in charge. (Unless maybe it would make the world one step close to Armageddon if the Muslims ran it!)

so, what you're saying, is that the only reason why some segments of the Christosphere support the Jews and the state of Israel is because it is essential that they exist for (utterly nonsense) end-times revelations?

Only an idiot would say that christians must support Israel, firstly, a truly moral christian would see the fact that Israel was founded on major human rights and international law breaches. Secondly, Israel was founded on innocent Palestinain blood and land. Thirdly, the true essence of zionism is very aggressive and is and should not be accepted on the basis of "it's thier right".
Finally, Israel's administration is purely zionist and secular whether you like it or not. And that what the Palestinians are doing is a very natural reaction to unbelievable oppression..

So for all the ignorants who think going against Israel is anti-semitism, they should know that it is anti-zionism.
I personally have many close Jewish friends who vehemently oppose zionism and the Israeli administration. Therefore, only an immoral and stupid christian would support Israel...
