It's beautiful, whatever year it is! (Personally, I like a '63 Corvette split-window coupe.) o.O

Gotta love the dry, snow-less climate out there.
If you drove that baby around here any time of year besides May-September it wouldn't have lasted past 1970. Between the Grand Canyon-like pot holes (which are more like sink holes that could take your tire off), bajillions of pounds of sand, salt and snow we get it would be a rusted out bucket of shit. And it would also just sit in your driveway because I'm assuming that thing isn't so great in the snow.
I sound a little bitter, don't I? Hopefully I will win the HGTV Dream Home 2009 and move my ass out to Sonoma - where the climate doesn't disintegrate vehicles in a single winter season.
My dad had one like that, but blue-grey. Sumptuous.

Vlad, I'm kind of with you. Mercedes actually built some pretty crummy cars in the 1960s/70s. In high school, I knew a teacher who had a '73 500D, and it was a piece of crap. The Le Mans accident in 1955 ripped the hearts out of Merc's car guys, and it took the company a long time to get its groove back.

The handy smog test history on the BAR site says it's a '67 230. Exempt from testing now, its last smog check was in 1997 (it passed, natch).
