Sunday's Whack Job E-mail
And you've got to go to the Isaiah666.com URL and hear the hilarious fire-and-brimstone voice. Here's the guy's e-mail, subject lined: "Got a problem Amy?"
In a message dated 3/8/09 8:06:04 AM, elijahsfire_08@yahoo.com writes:"I know Amy does not like liars, thieves and adulterers.
But you have told numerous lies during your lifetime.
I bet you have stolen items that did not belong to you.
I bet you have looked with lustful eyes. Adultery (Matthew 5:28)
I bet the creator of the evolution theory is a proven liar" - Satan
Strike 1
"The Old Testament is a false history of the world" - Charles Darwin
The man Jesus quoted on Hell is 12 for 12 - http://www.isaiah666.com
Strike 2
"The Gospels cannot be proven to have been written simultaneously
with the events" - Charles Darwin
Census of Augustus Caesar Proven

Strike 3
"If no transitional forms are found in the fossil record then my theory
is false" - Charles Darwin
Amber fossils "Millions of Years Old" but show no evolution

"Satan Your Accuser" - Revelation 12

Ah, don't you love it?
1. Even a false history may occasionally include correct facts.
2. It's hard to see what his reference does to refute the idea that the gospels were written later.
3. So what, some species have not changed much recently. You'll have to go back farther to look for the transitional forms.
Apparently, if you believe something strongly enough, your reasoning centers shut down...

Since I have a lot of downtime at work, I sometimes amuse myself by checking out the wingnut websites... I'll bookmark this one. My FAVORITE wingnuts, though, are the "Christian" (NOT MORMON) polygamists.

Oh Ms. Alkon -- three strikes against you! You know what that means -- it's off to the dogma pound with you!

This is just so quaint. This blog is now "Whack-Job Approved".
Thank you Amy for sharing this website. Hell and brimstones indeed. I will pass hours on this site digesting all the hellish cheese found there. I love those morons.

It's sad when so-called followers of Jesus actually more closely resemble the Pharisees he criticized.

If a person is judged by the caliber of her enemies, you may have a problem, Amy. This is simply pathetic.

Thank you, Pseudo, most sincerely.

Hmm. Poor guy. He doesn't know about Darwiniana.
Or, I bet, much else.

Ah. If you want to see serious, loon-grade e-mail, just hang out with PZ Myers for a little while.
Although it's distressing that so many of his fans fail to apply the same logical rigor to politics that they do to biological or other scientific issues, PZ himself is refreshing: an expert who writes.

I'm humbled to join the ranks of the three strikers such as yourself. Just got my very own personalized email from this clown (elijahsfire_08@yahoo).
Lies, lust and theivery (and lions, tigers and bears) oh my!
I thought he was just going after criminal defense attorneys such as myself. Guess not.
