More People Should Dress Like This More Often
It would make the world a less snarly and ugly place.
People are less likely to give another driver the finger for slowing down when lost if that driver is wearing a big floppy pair of ears.
Personally, I sometimes feel the desire to go out wearing little red cat ears to match my hair, but I have yet to procure them.

"Personally, I sometimes feel the desire to go out wearing little red cat ears to match my hair, but I have yet to procure them."
What, no horns?
Yes, I do go on about it given the chance, but this is one of the delights of Dragoncon. A fair bit of the audience does this, and I have always found it sad that people don't dress like {name character here} on a daily basis. And I'm not a cosplayer.
But in my defense, about half the people at work don't understand much, even the lame "10 kinds of people understand binary.." T-shirt.

That funky moustache looks pretty real. The guy looks like a cross between a nerd and a barber, or something.
Norman L. at April 14, 2009 2:47 AM
He also has a tree growing out of his head.

His girlfriend's cuter than yours.

I LOVE that moustache!

I say, a great picture really! Brought a smile to my face. We all take ourselves too seriously all the time. This is Diana from Israeli Uncensored News.

Looks like a very, very bad flashback from the '70.
Toubrouk at April 14, 2009 5:39 AM
I LOVED these two. They'd dressed up to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. They were lots of fun and happy to have me take their picture -- gave them my site name...hope they remember and drop by.

Looks like a very, very bad flashback from the '70.
They were also both wearing gold spandex pants. Very cute on the girl, who was carrying red patent leather platforms, too, for their photo, but I didn't want to scare you with gold spandex pants on the guy!
Amy Alkon at April 14, 2009 5:49 AM
The girl with the bunny ears is cute. But what's with the gold headband on the guy?
Karen at April 14, 2009 6:19 AM
Oh I get it, they match his pants.
Karen at April 14, 2009 6:20 AM
Thank you kindly Amy for caring. I wasn't in the mood today to wash the coffee-sprayed silhouette of my iMac off the wall. :D

Hey Amyleh -
You may want to check this out - it's a topic you often rant about:
"Are we "good-jobbing" our our kids to pieces?"
Article about the narcissists created by the "self-esteem" movement in education. In the Minneapolis Star-Trib.
(every time I post a link I get sent to your spam can, so google it yourself...)
And Happy Passover!

What's wrong with looking like a '70's flashback???
I absolutely love it when people dare to be different.
Well, when they're just being them, I do. When it's obvious that they're being different just to differ, not so much.
These two are great. They're obviously just having a bit of Easter fun -- their way.

"even the lame "10 kinds of people understand binary.." T-shirt."
How can you call that lame? It's one of my favourites. I guess I getting old enough that I don;t give a crap anymore. I love to wear T-shirts that get a reaction.
I picked up one in Puerto Vallarta this winter with a picture of a doctor and the caption:
"I'm not a gynecologist, but I'll take a look"
The best one I have is a picture of Ward and June Cleaver and the caption is an actual line from the show:
"Ward, I think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night"

How does such a dorky-looking guy land a hottie like that?
DavidJ at April 14, 2009 9:23 AM
Shiny personality? Anyone who can charm a sweetie like her while wearing golden-plated pants must be quite the lady's man.
Toubrouk at April 14, 2009 9:33 AM
Age.
Twenty years ago, she wouldn't have been seen dead with him.
Some time in the 80s, nerds went out of favor. Women decided that avoiding nerds was the way to go.

Why is everyone assuming that we're dating, just because we're standing next to each other?
PS: I think you should have posted the full body shot, hah.
PPS: His mustache is real.
Lauren at April 15, 2009 11:08 AM
Yes, it is real. And we're not dating.
We're married.
Dan at April 15, 2009 11:25 AM
Nice . . . err. . refridgerator
lujlp at April 15, 2009 11:32 AM
Dear Lauren and Dan:
Although I am sure there is more to you than a picture, and I have not perused your other Web appearances, I have to say this is a winning shot. You are a sight for sore eyes. There are professionals who look much worse together. Delightful!
Radwaste at April 15, 2009 6:09 PM
My feelings exactly, Rad. Told them if everybody were as happy as they look together, I'd probably have to find another line of work.
PS Here's another costume shot from the past:

(For the record: A balding scalp and thick eyeglass frames do not a nerd make)
(But glowing skin and an electric shape pretty much describe a pretty girl)
