Understudy
Sunsets in the Marina (Marina Del Rey, where I had drinks with a friends and his friends) aren't usually quite what they are on the ocean, but they still aren't terribly shabby.
And then, from Hustler's 35th anniversary party, here are (rather NSFW) some stars and a couple moons.
Have you considered photography as another way to make $$? You have a natural talent for it.

Aww, thanks -- I consider myself a hobbyist photographer at most. I don't really think I could sell my photos...but I would if I could!

Oooh, it looks so nice, and you were with all those men, and had drinks, and sunsets are so romantic. I hope you gave everyone blow jobs.

Oh great, I get to post a comment after some raging ass-wipe troll.
One thing I notice is that you get a lot of mauve sky in the sunsets. And in this pic you get it picked up in the water as well. It's a wonderful, moody color and you capture it well.
As for selling your pics, why not go over to Radley Balko's place (theagitator.com but you probably already knew that) where he sells prints of the pics he posts. It may not be big bucks but I got the impression that he clears a few pence in so doing.

I don't know about your other readers, but if you offered signed albums of your photos (say, one for sunsets/California scenery, one for Paris cityscapes, one for women around the world who demonstrate how good women can look when they put their minds to it, and, best of all, one of candid shots of you taken by Gregg & your friends) on your site for a reasonable price, I'd buy them.

Or you might offer small versions of your best shots, with links provided to high-resolution versions for anyone willing to pay a small fee (no shipping costs that way).

Amy Alkon at July 19, 2009 11:20 AM
There's a couple services out there that do just that. I think you can even link them off Flickr.

I'd suggest you round up your best shots & sort them into albums. Have the low-resolution versions available for free viewing in an "Amy's Photos" section of your site. For high-resolution pix, you might ask for $ 4.50-$ 5 for individual shots, or $ 2-$ 3 per shot for an entire album downloaded as a zip file. For individual 8 X 10 prints, try $ 10-$ 12 + shipping, or $ 15 + shipping for signed prints. Now if you offered nude photos, then the sky's the limit :)
Have you ever thought of putting out an AdviceGoddess 2010 calendar? 12 of Gregg's best photos of you, each accompanied by a pithy quote from your columns or I See Rude People? Don't know if you could find the time to get a calendar ready & printed by the end of this year (or by the release date of your book), & you'd probably have to sell a large volume to make any money, but it would be a delight to behold & give you some extra publicity besides.

Will talk to Gregg about this -- people could just pay into Paypal and I'd send them the high-res photo.
Thanks again -- appreciate this. Every little bit help$ these days!
