I'm in middle of reading - very moving indeed - but I had to stop and comment hear upon reading the entry about the "insane amount of eggs" the father eats; yet, his cholesterol is down! Shades of Taubes.

Yes. It was well-documented in the book too. I just read Know Your Fats by Mary Enig. Lots of interesting info (and some very boring info) about the makeup of different fats, which are beneficial, which not. She also has plenty to say about the non-existence of a cholesterol threat, and how, to the contrary, cholesterol is a vital and beneficial component of the human body.
