A Night As A Hamster
A takeoff on A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The Ukraine? No, a French theme hotel. From Reuters:
It's a unique concept according to its creators, a hotel in the French town of Nantes is offering the chance for people to become a hamster. For 99 euros ($148.10) a night, you can eat hamster grain, run in a giant wheel and sleep in hay stacks in what is called the "Hamster Villa."
Maud and Sebastien are the first ones to experience how hamsters live, not afraid at the thought of sleeping in hay or feeding on a hamster fountain and special grain.
...However, the price is soon to go up as today's hamsters need, according to the owners, Wifi and a giant TV screen.

Weirdest theme thing or event you've been to?
I was invited to an Alice in Wonderland white tea party in one of our public parks. My future husband was the White Rabbit (costume made by a guy we knew that...oh, who cares?)
I had no costume and no inclination to go but they talked me into it, so I fixed some black socks into my hair, dressed all in black and had a business card made up that read "Lily the Lop, Furry Friends Escort Service". Actually had a pretty good time, and the regular park-goers seemed to get a kick out of us.

The article didn't say where the restroom was. Once can only hope it wasn't a pull-out tray underneath the floor. Neither did the article say if the room included a shower; were guests expected to lick themselves clean?
Outside of a little slam-dancing back in the 80s, I can't say I've done anything even close to that weird.

Ah, no thanks. I don't do weird (well, okay, I don't do it well). About the weirdest thing I ever did was go skinny dipping while horseback riding. There were maybe 10 or so of us, and we were pretty drunk at the time. o.O

Are we going to count comic book an gaming conventions? Those are pretty damn weird. The after parties even more so.
And yes, I'm one of the nerds in costume
