"Pamela Anderson If She Had Red Hair And A Brain"
I just love Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa's subhead on his Psych Today blog item with his review of my book. Even better is the headline: "Applied Evolutionary Psychology at its Best." I worked really hard to get the science right, and build a theory of why people are rude out of it, and Satoshi gives me a passing grade, and then some. And included links and pictures, too!

Amy, great review! Congrats on all the wonderful publicity and reviews you and your book are receiving!

Actually, it's very simple to understand why people are rude. They prohibited dueling, which was the end of civilization as we knew it. People have really good manners when they know they will either have to show up up at the local cemetery at dawn, and may not go home again, or have to leave town.
Heh, heh.

There's that fly-swatter again. Love it!
"If this hypothesis is correct, then one implication is that we find overhearing conversations in foreign languages more annoying than overhearing conversations in our own language"
The opposite may be true. If someone near you is babbling in Swahili, you know that you can't understand a word they say anyway, so it should be easier for your brain to tune them out. If they're yakking in English, you can't help but understand them, and it should be much harder for your brain to stop reflexively trying to follow along.
Anyway, congrats for the well-earned praise.

My friend began to like Pamela Anderson along time ago. He kept informing me how much he adores her. He is getting crazy over her and got all pictures in his room.
