I really hope that no one actually follows through on that threat. I actually found the idea quite amusing. I certainly don't want any harm to come of her from this though. However, I would have apologized over it. I can't speak for her mindset, and if she really feels her life is in danger then I gues apologizing for it seems right for her. And I certainly won't hold it against her.
Me though? I would just say "Yes. It was my idea and I stand behind it. I fully support my right to free speech and am encouraging my fellow Amercians to take advantage of it with Draw Muhammad Day.
