"The Pot And Pussy Platform"
She doesn't have the usual gubernatorial look (looks more ready to talk about her platform bra than her platform), but she does sound more qualified than the other candidates. reason's Nick Gillespie writes at Big Government about Kristin Davis, who ran the escort service that provided former New York governor Spitzer with call girls, and who's running for governor of the state of New York:
She wants to legalize marijuana and prostitution and collect tax revenue from them; she wants to open casinos in the state's great vacation areas; she wants to legalize gay marriage and address a legal system that nets the poor and unconnected and leaves the big fish to swim free.Besides running prostitutes, what qualifications does she possess for the top job in Albany (as if that isn't enough)? She was valedictorian of her high school and worked at a hedge fund, which pretty much makes her more qualified than Andrew Cuomo and whoever the Republican candidate is. But judge for yourself in this, the best campaign video so far this year (in a non-Basil Marceaux category).
The video:

I might move to New York so I can vote for her.
My only complaint: She has a nice face and a different approach to her eye make up could do a lot for her appearance. Other than that I like her - she's laid bare (hehe) what she's about, what she's not about and seems to have enough brains to get 'er done.

Go her. She has that over-indulged look, like the rich romans portrayed in movies. Just swelled up with too much everything. I'd need to see a lot more than this to vote for an admitted criminal, though.

We're going to get Andy Cuomo, who spent $350K of our money at HUD on a self promotion video. We have two Republican unacceptables vying to lose to him. Ms Davis gets my vote.
Of course it's a protest. I want Patterson to stay.

Hells bells, she's got more qualifications for president than our current white house occupant. She's run a business.

I had to laugh when Joy Behar said that she had her vote. Apparently she missed the part about Kristin being a Libertarian and believing in free markets.

After the first flush of publicity, she should focus more on the libertarian/free market angle.
Even in New York, people care more about economics then they do about gay marriage.
The legalization platform should be presented as a fairer "pay as you go" approach to taxation. All my friends back in NY say that tax relief is Issue Number One.

I'd vote for her on her private sector experience alone - and the fact she didn't graduate from an Ivy League or Marxist-Institution.
She sounds like a shrewed cat. Hope she wins.

And I bet she can get a Texas-sized boat-load of her agenda thru the Legislature. She knows who her former clients are, after all...
Also, she's got experience in the second oldest career, which bears a strong resemblence to the oldest. (hat tip to some guy named Reagan)

I love how in the interview portion with whatshis face, he said "So why do you think that running a business where everyone sold their virtue to the highest bidder makes you qualified ro run Albany?" My first thought was, "And how is that any different than what is going on in office now?" And then she said almost just that. I actually chuckled heartily at that.
If I still lived in NYC, I would be first in line at the voting booth to vote for her. Her qualifications alone make her a better candidate than the majority of the officials they currently have in office right now. Including our US President. Plus, I like her candor. I like how she says exactly what her goal is, and actually has information to back it up. I don't mind that she has a criminal record in the slightest. She has paid her debt to society (although the punishment did NOT fit the crime in this case im my opinion) and it's time to move on. Shit, Spritzer (and who knows who else in that office) would have a criminal record if he had actually been charged. And that's really the part of the issue isn't it?
