I Love This Girl
A flasherman really exposed himself this time -- to punishment by law enforcement. Bold girl in Manhattan (loudly) refuses to be penis flasher's victim:
Story at CBS New York:
"They have a saying; every monkey knows what tree to climb on...you know?" one woman said. But apparently one sick man chose the wrong tree on this train. A rider posted a YouTube video of an unidentified woman accusing the man in black of flashing her on a "4" train in midtown.
"I'm like why is this person pressing up against me? Then I realize you have all this (expletive) space here. Then I see his penis out! That's it!"
And her furor didn't end there.
"Oh you're getting (expletive) arrested! I'm not leaving your side! My plans are done for tonight. I'm escorting you to the police station, okay?" the woman says.
Emily May posted the YouTube video on her website, ihollaback.org, an organization against street harassment. May said women are calling the fiery female an inspiration.
"She is my hero," May said. "So many women have walked away from situations like that feeling like their voice didn't matter, and she spoke up. And her voice is a voice for an entire city of women, many of which have seen things like this in their own lives."...Speaking out really made a difference in this case. Police were able to quickly arrest 51-year-old Mario Valdivia of Queens. He's been charged with forcible touching, public lewdness and sex abuse.

Indeed, she's awesome!
Great work.

Why doesn't he just hang around an airport? The TSA will check him out.

But what if he's not guilty?

Oh! So he works for the TSA then?

Amy, I thought of you the minute I heard of this story. Her stare at 0:18 is priceless.

I didn't realize it was legal to stand up for yourself in New York.

There are guys on trains who have their fly undone and guys on trains who have their fly undone, and their dick out, which they're usually stroking. It's not really hard to mistake for the guy who just forgot to zip up all the way after the john.

Add to that the fact that he was pressing up against her when apparently there was plenty of space.

Too bad castration is not a punishment available for these idiots.
Tony at November 24, 2010 7:47 AM
Ya know, I'm gonna start doing that now. When I'm on the subway or train and see someone with his johnson hanging out, I'll start yelling "Johnson alert! Johnson alert at 3 o'clock!" and pointing at the guy. Sounds like fun! We'll show those pervy bastards!

That site, ihollaback.org, advocates for free speech restrictions in public places.
This subway guy is obviously an asshole who deserves to pay, but do we really want to live in a world where whistling at a girl on the street is a criminal act?

ron, I couldn't speak from experience, having only seen it, um, maybe once or twice in my 53 years. But then again, I'm not especially looking for it either. I don't go into the city often, but when I do, it's by train and once I'm there, I walk or take the subway. I've only seen a guy expose himself once or twice but no one said anything, so I didn't either, I just walked the other way. Although when I was in Montreal, it was nothing to see a guy whip it out and whiz in the gutter.
...but do we really want to live in a world where whistling at a girl on the street is a criminal act?
No, of course not! But some girls are more sensative than others, I guess. Me, I'm of the Mae West line of thinking, "I'd rather be looked over than overlooked." But some guys take it a little too far, and those are the ones who ruin it for everybody else.

Ron, I dont' recall having a man expose himself to me but I have had my bum and vagina groped so many times I couldn't put a number to it, starting when I was about ten up to the present, I just turned forty. I have had people put their hands up my skirt/shorts to touch me between the legs. It almost always occurs on public transit but it has happened in bars, walking down the street and at a wedding. It has happened so many times that when my then three year old grabbed my behind as we were leaving a restaurant I nearly punched her because I assumed it was a pervert, I took all of my self-control to not cry in front of her. I had a coworker stick his hand down my shirt and grab my breast when I bent over to pick something up, in that case I was just nineteen and when I complained to the manager the only outcome was that the offender was told to stay a few feet away from me - if that happened today I would shove his nose into his brain and call the police but at the time I was so harrassed by men and so timid I simply did not know what to do.
The really sad thing is when I told a co-worker last year about having my behind grabbed at a friend's wedding she SHE told me that I will know better how to behave next time and I can teach my daughter better behaviour!!!!! Apparently this woman thinks that standing talking to a group of friends is provocative enough that I am to blame for the incident! Mind you, this is the same co-worker who told me, "it doesn't matter if a white kid dies, white people don't love their children like my people do, white families aren't close like brown families."
I have chased down men who groped me, rather stupidly, upon reflection, as I could very well have been seriously hurt.

One time in a bar, a woman came up to me, and danced seductively and rubbed her bottoms into me. I like it.
If a woman rubbed her ass into on a subway, I would probably just tell her to go away, and be done with it in 10 seconds.
You people are way too uptight.
BOTU at November 24, 2010 9:48 AM
wow, I thought the public groping thing ended after high school. I had no idea this kind of crap went on in real life
ron at November 24, 2010 11:05 AM
I was flashed twice in one year, my last year of university. On the street, in front of my house.
ie at November 24, 2010 11:24 AM
I heard at a dinner party a similar story that happened on the BART in San Francisco. There was a guy just walking up and down the car wagging his weiner in everyones face. One of the passengers undid his own belt, and when the perv came up to him, gave him a quick snap with the folded up belt, dead on the mark. The perv screamed and exited at the next stop.
Eric at November 24, 2010 11:42 AM
It happens to guys too, sometimes. I had an ex friend pull his weiner out one time while I was at his house. He could act rather strange. Go figure.

Regardless, if you looked at ihollaback's methods, you would realize this is not what they are doing.
Unlike what you posted above, ihollaback posts completely anonymous photographs, and leave no way for anyone so accused to remove or rebut the photograph.
They don't even know if the person who sent in the photograph is a woman, much less knowing if what is claimed in the photo actually occurred or is being taken out of context.
At least, that was the case several years ago when they started.
If women want to take a stand, take a stand like this woman did. Not through anonymous and unaccountable smears.

Well sure but in the meantime the accusation has travelled around the planet three times - with pictures. Look, he looks pretty creepy to me so nothing would surprise me, but is there any evidence in that clip apart from the alleged victim's say so?
