Some People Should Speak A Little Less Freely
John Hawkins posts the 40 most obnoxious quotes of 2010. Two of my favorites:
37) "Had a powerful meditation just now -- caused an earthquake in Southern California. ...Was meditating on Shiva mantra & earth began to shake. Sorry about that." -- Deepak Chopra is so out of it he thinks his meditation can cause earthquakes31) "If you're blaming Muslims for the attack on 9/11, then you need to change your mind. Did we blame Christians at the first World Trade attack? We didn't!" -- Russell Simmons
Um, we didn't because the people who attacked the WTC the first time were Muslim. (As good a reason as any not to point the finger at Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.)
Trivia: My New York City dry cleaner fixed me up with one of the FBI guys who was on the team that broke the case.

REgarding Deepak Chopra ego, an cliam from Faldwell?(Pretty sure it was Faldwell) that he could "divert" hurricanes.
I always thought that the people injured in such natural disasters should sue these people. After all they did claim to cause the damage, and maybe after losing their money in frivouls lawsuits they will shut the fuck up already.
Dont ave a propblem with #25, and #23 was a valid argument, there was a back handed bitchslap in there twords Reps, but the firts half of that sentance was spot on

Also, I don't recall Christians around the world taking to the street dancing with joy as people burn and die at the hands of other Christians.
I also don't recall Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson encouraging Christians to kill anyone who questions how peaceful Christianity is.

Maybe it was Robertson but I thought it was Faldwell - Its the one with their own college in Virginia I think
Trust I'm not sure what point you were making, the point I was making was tha I'm sick of these people thinking god or the universe gave them the power to spark or guide natural disaters, and that scince these douchbags are cliaming responsiility thy should be held finacial liable for their actions.

I was just casually discussing something Amy said regarding #31. To blame Christians for the first WTC was as absurd as comparisons between how Christians and Muslims reacted world-wide to violence in the name of their religion.
I wasn't arguing any of your points and admitted hadn't read anything said by anyone other than Amy until now.
On a related note, did you hear about Rep. Giffords? Very, very tragic. :(

Regarding people who should speak a little less frequently, here's an apparent anarchist who should: Weighing in on the Gabrielle Giffords shooting.
