"The Che Guevara of Hollywood?" WTF does that even mean?
Every time I hear see or hear Charlie Sheen lately, I feel like I need a round of antibiotics. He looks like he smells bad.
Maybe the problem isn't cocaine and booze. Maybe it's syphillis. It's back, ya' know.

I think the statement works as a metaphor... but not in the way Wallace intended.

I his viewpoint -- I think AA is a total waste of time for anyone who thinks. If you look at the principles of an AA recovery -- the majority are not about your own responsibility for your addiction.
The obverse side of that is similar to being addicted to tobacco. They can feed you enough Chantix or NicVax to float a battleship, but if you don't want to quit -- nothing will really help long term.
