Are you following me on Twitter? I'm @amyalkon.
Why was this latest waste of government resources introduced by the Bamster's wife? She's running the Department of Agriculture now?

Twitter?
I mean, I know social media is super important to a media professional, but it seems like it would take a bunch of time you don't have.
Oh, wait - this would be ideal for your divided attention. What?

I tweet my blog posts but I also retweet interesting stuff and post other things on Twitter...funny thoughts, etc.

I left my agent and need to change agents, but there's an agent I like a lot who's waiting to see my proposal and chapters, and two others who were recommended to me who want to see it. I have somebody reading the proposal (a book editor friend), and she will probably get it back to me next week, and then it'll take the agent some time to read it (always does -- if you're a professional writer and they like you, it'll take at least a few weeks -- especially since I have about 90 pages of material with the chapters. Otherwise, it can take months.)

I follow Amy's Twitter feed - she posts up some good stuff. That's actually how I found the hilarious no-carb plate post.

Did I miss the announcement about "what we told you before was wrong, but be sure to pay attention to this?"

The problem here is that somehow we got to giving a fuck about the "first lady" and decided she needed something "important" to do. For the children.
Ignore her. She can't stop her husband eating chili dogs (a food I approve of, by the way - and notice that he at least knows how to eat one, unlike John F'n Kerry) and he's thin as a rail, so her advice is probably bullshit anyhow.

The government should check with this guy on how to make an entertaining chart:

Experts agree that 99% of statistics are more than the rest.
