Porn Star Says Weiner Isn't Moral Enough To Be A Congressman
Hinderaker quotes porn star Ginger Lee at Powerline:
I think that Anthony Weiner should resign because he lied. He lied to the public and the press for more than a week. If he lied about this, I can't have much faith in him about anything else.
Rat with a law license Gloria Allred $peak$ for her client:
Allred finally shuts her big rat-yap at around 4:27, and Lee gets to speak (in a rather cute Southern accent), and tell her story about how Weiner told her to lie about their communication.
Hinderaker remarks:
There is considerable amusement value in Ginger Lee's press conference, but the bottom line is that when even your porn star/stripper admirers think you are too depraved to be a Congressman, it is time to go.

Gee, something sordid is going down and Gloria Allred's in the picture. Whodathunkit?
Is there nothing this woman won't do for publicity?

How moral does a person have to be in order to be a politician? Seriously, "isn't moral enough to be a congressman..." That's like "not compassionate enough to be an axe murderer."
Patrick at June 15, 2011 1:09 PM
Heh... I know there are some that are gonna bash Lee about HER morality because of being in porn. Fuck that. At least she isnt LYING about what she's doing. And she's at least doing what she's being paid to do. And she isn't doing it on the tax payers dime. Can't say that about Weiner.
Sabrina at June 15, 2011 1:14 PM
It's not the porn thing that would lead me to question her morality... it's that she hired Gloria Allred.

I for one am glad there's a new circus in town- now we won't have to think about that Fukushima whoopsie.
Eric at June 15, 2011 1:55 PM
Weiner didn't just tell Lee to lie about it. He assigned some of his taxpayer-funded staff to devise a cover story for her and coach her on exactly what lies to tell and how to tell them.

Bill Maher said something about Congress to the effect that they're all "cash whores---no disrespect intended to actual whores." Or something like that. Really, it's less dishonest to be an actual prostitute than a Congressman who pretends he isn't.

From a libertarian point of view, being a representative of a system that takes your money at gunpoint is immoral on its face. Being a tax evader starts looking like an act of moral courage.

Apparently she's performing at The Pink Pony in Atlanta tonite, for considerably higher than her previous fee......
momof4 at June 16, 2011 8:51 AM
Things look pretty bad for Weiner if he can't meet the moral expectations of a porn star. (No offense meant to porn stars.)
Jay at June 16, 2011 5:56 PM
@momof4 - I heard on the radio that the cover charge at The Pink Pony will be the same. They may be paying her more, but it's still just $10 to get in the door! A true bargain for history in the making!
By the way, as a native Georgian, I would just like to point out that we don't all sound like that. However, the yanks I work with (in Atlanta) like to point out, "You don't sound like you're from around here. You don't have an accent!" Like we're all supposed to sound like either Scarlett O'Hara or Jeff Foxworthy. Annoying.
KimberBlue at June 16, 2011 6:54 PM
I can't believe it - Weiner actually said "...the damage I have caused" instead of "the damage from what happened".
Could we be seeing a new day dawn for political sex scandals?!
