The Bureaucrat they interviewed is one soulless bastard. Do you have to give up your soul to work for a parking authority or does the job just attract the soulless?

Wow. Completely lame! She should not have to pay that ticket. What a bunch of CRAP! And the guy interviewed, BRAINLESS. Can't do any thinking at all.

I'm just amazed the videographer wasn't tazed for obstructing justice and wiretapping.

Betcha the twit at the end - did you catch the little punctuation sniff? - never parks at metered spaces. That's for the little people.

Oh, that last part really got my German up. If the machine isn't working, then go find another parking space??? So in the course of 60 seconds, the woman was supposed to walk to the machine, try different methods to get a receipt, realize it wasn't working, then run back to her car and drive around looking for another spot? What a smug jerk.

This is so totally asinine that I can't believe it.
I have never heard of or seen such a system before in my life. So I fly into L.A., get my rental and then drive to my meeting/interview. I now have 60 seconds to get out of my car in a totally new city and system and figure it all out?
I have seen full up parking lots with a self pay system that you can either do quarters or dollar bills. They are generally understandable. But trying to find that kiosk that looks like some sort of advertising stand, in front of an ATM would not lead me to it immediately.
They can try to get my money -- I would pay them with 49 pennies once a month for 50 + months. I would make sure that sending me the receipt would cost them more than they made on the fine.
Hold me in contempt, please! It was an administrative court, not criminal.

Here in Phoenix the sherriffs office burnt a house to the grond, drove a dog back into the flames with tear gas(every neighbor witnessing the event claims th deputies laughed at the dogs cries of pain as it burnt alive), crushed a couple of cars, and damn near killed a couple of kids when their APC went carreening down a hill becuase someone forgot to set the parking brake.
All while serving an 'administrative' arrest warrent for traffc court with a SWAT team.
