Does LA have any art car festivals? It seems like people there would get really into it.

A few years ago at my daughters swim meet, A woman was dressed head to to in leopard. Top, shorts, shoes, glasses , hat and scarf. I've never heard anyone say "look at me" louder without actually speaking.

My eysight sucks so I keep my web browser on 150%
So when I first saw this picture I thought it was going o be about the big bush behind the car
Steve Miller 1974-1978 was one of those albums we played ad infinitum for about 15 years. Journey, Heart, Fleetwood Mac... some serious lasting brain damage there.
Not to be obnoxious, but...
We can dance if we want to,
We can leave your friends behind.
Cuz your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance,
Well, they're no friends of mine.

"Safety Dance," Men Without Hats, 1983. I was a freshman in college, and thank you very much, Eric, for re-infecting my brain with that!
And I could rest easy the balance of my days without hearing "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" ever again.

Old RPM- Never break the chain!
I used to have all of Jim Ladd's Sunday night program "Headset's" on cassette tape. Most of Dr Demento's too. They got stolen out of my Jensen Healy about 25 years ago, and I still miss them. They were on the good stuff too- Memorex.
I still have my Fisher speakers I bought 30+ years ago at, The Broadway. Orange crate speaker stands back then. I think they sound better than my modern speakers, but the are the size of a small refrigerator.
Watching right now: The Who's Tommy (my Dad looked just like Oliver Reed and my son looks exactly like young Tommy), to be followed by Rust Never Sleeps and closing the night on the mountain with "Almost Famous".
I was thinking about how as young teens we used to walk about an hour to the Music+ store in Westminster, then to a hamburger joint that I can't remember the name to across the street. It was like Hoggle's, or Woggle's, or something. You know you grew up in Garden Grove when...

Damnit, now I have to hang around the gas station near work to see if I can see the sticker covered car again.
I really wish I'd gotten a picture, but I was afraid to do it while the owner was there gassing it up. Next time I'll ask.
I love that car, Amy. It kind of makes me want to pick up a beater car and tiger stripe it. :D
